50 Shades of Cheesy? Omega Watch Question
I am thinking of buying my boyfriend this watch for Christmas this year:Omega Men's 3220.50.00 Speedmaster Day Date Tachymeter WatchI think it is classic and elegant...but it also happens to be the watch worn by the main male character in the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy. My boyfriend knows I have read those books, but he thinks it is all kind of silly. Still, I think it is an awesome watch. Do you think he will have an issue with a (somewhat shady) fictional character having (possibly) worn the same one - or will the awesomeness of the watch far out-weight and fictional connections it may have? And what do you think about buying it from Amazon (see link above)? Thanks in advance for your responses!

I had been contemplating a new watch for the collection for quite a while now and I eventually decided that I needed a Rolex. I had looked at the various options and decided that a Datejust 11 in stainless steel with a blue sun-ray dial was the exact model. My dealer informed me that they had one in stock and so along I went with 100% certainty that I was going to purchase the watch. Unfortunately when I tried it on it left me flat and I found that despite numerous attempts I could not get comfortable with the bracelet. I tried an ordinary Datejust with a jubilee strap which was much better but I could not have the dial colour I wanted. I looked around for quite a while when I found not one but two watches that I really liked. New Aquanaut clasp/deployant
What are the chances Patek will let us order the new Aquanaut clasps? I know that we can easily order replacement rubber straps. Has anybody had luck in ordering the clasps in the past?
