Porsche Design Group Ends Watch Production Relationship With Eterna
Interesting news today as Porsche Design and Eterna have announced that they have terminated their watch making relationship. For years Porsche Design (designed) watches were produced by the Swiss watch maker Eterna, located in Grenchen, Switzerland. As of March 10th, 2014, the two companies have announced the termination of their license agreement to develop, produce, and sell Porsche Design branded timepieces.Sadly, I did see this coming. Porsche Design has aligned itself with some interesting watch companies over the years including, most notably, IWC. Their run with Eterna helped them to produce some of the highest quality, most interesting Porsche Design watches since the company's beginning in 1972. It seemed like Eterna was an excellent and long lasting partner. Eterna had its own problems though, and while very interesting, Eterna brand timepieces were not doing as well as they could have been.In a sense, Eterna watches were plagued by being too focused on interesting movements

Has anyone else been having time issues with ordering crystals from Maria lately? It does not take long for items to get to me from Texas, via USPS. But lately my orders have not been dispatched until 10 days or so after order is placed, even though the label is printed and logged with the P.S. Satisfied with the product, just wish for better service.

57261a versus Rolex Daytona Platinum
While I am in agreement with the community that the 57261a is a VERY different watch to the Rolex Daytona Platinum Anniversary Model, I am interested in how others might think about this purchase decision.It starts with the metal... I get it. Weight, brand, etc...However, given the warm conditions (literally year around) where I live in Southern California, I think I need a compliment to my 59601a, RG Daytona, GMT II YG/ stainless, among others that have a bracelet.Please note: I will NOT OVER PAY for a 5711. Please do not suggest that reference. My purchase has nothing to do with price.I have a number of other watches so this out reach is more about making a decision on a new purchase between the two references mentioned above that I will actually wear daily among others in some sort of rotation given the temperature where I live during the day.I tend to get bored with daily wear watches so I take into consideration their resale value. The 5726 would be about 31% back and the Dayt
