Ulysse Nardin Ulysse Nardin 16370 wrist watches news:
It's an interesting time for Patek Philippe from a collector's standpoint. The company has stopped production of some of its greatest complications (the 3970, 5970, 5070, 5004, etc.), they’ve raised their prices substantially (in what I believe to be an attempt to sideline the secondary market), and a new generation of Stern has taken over as president. I’ve been somewhat skeptical about the direction of the brand based on some of the latest design updates, but after cutting the seal on the new ref. 5396G for Tiffany & Co., I know that the brand still cares about collectors. A lot.In fact, I think this watch is a message to collectors everywhere that Patek Philippe will continue to create instant classics. And this 5396 limited edition is one of them. 2 OF 7 The 5396G is an annual calendar made in a limited edition of 100 pieces to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Patek Philippe boutique inside the Fifth Avenue Tiffany &a
To be honest (and I've Posted this question elsewhere), I've gotten the same impression about the Planet Ocean from feedback: That it's delicate, far less robust than the standard Seamaster line (I currently own the 2531.80, which, of course, is pre-Coaxial)."Planet" and "Ocean" were beginning to feel far bigger shoes than this watch was capable of filling. In my mind, a scratched crystal or bezel, or case or clasp, for that matter, does not make a watch less rugged. As I said, I've accepted the idea that the exposed surface A/R coating will be short-lived, relatively speaking. I also saw on John's review the implication that there are sources for completely removing that that seem relatively mainstream. As I said, my frame of reference is the Submariner Date model 16610 Rolex. And, by the way, the bezel is scratched, between the 35- and 40-minute markers. But I wear it through thick and thin, and trust it completely: Wear it to swim in the lake, camp, kayak, bike, snow blow, mow the law
I was sent here from another forum to ask a question about pre WWII Elgins. Here are three that I have in my box of old stuff. These watches do not have movement numbers, but what appears to be serial numbers. From left to right: 32534988 - 32184475 - 31458544.Thanks!
Well I finally posted my first photos and thanks to those who posted tips. I found them helpful. I found that once a photo is in photobucket it is really easy to postall one has to do is start a post, go to photobucket, click on the picture and copy the the url (the last line in photobucket) and then paste in the post.Beyond having a good camera and tripodsomething I need or I need to start bypassing Starbucks is there an article here in the forum on how to take GOOD photos? The flash glare that washes out colors, or adds a color, seems to be my biggest problem in my pictures. Taking pictures of "lume" is also another trick I would like to learn as my attempt resembles a blurry UFO looking photo.Thanks.
No big deal to me, but I¡¯d like to hear you guys thoughts on the subject. Would only matter to me on very collectible pieces.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
