Citizen AT2245-57E wrist watches news:
I'm keen to buy a grey market Rolex in either Asia or America. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have been lurking here for a while and decided to "join up" in the even that I wanted to ever comment on anything. You all have a great deal of knowledge and I have learned much. I look forward to continuing to learn.BTW, here is my one and only Omega.IMG_1597.jpg
I was just updating my watchbox as there have been some new acquisitions when I realized that ALL the movements in my collection are Japanese. It's not like I began 35 years ago and decided that it would only be Japanese. My first Seiko was a quartz and my only other quartz is a chonograph I use as my "beater" for swimming, mountain biking and activities that could damage the finish. Please view my collection. I've made some expensive purchases and some modest ones. Now here's the question. Why are the European watches and movements so expensive? I find nothing in my research to justify the cost. I wouldn't mind some diversity, but for $7200 I can buy a brand new HI-Beat 36,000 bph Grand Seiko, that's top of the line for the mechanical Seiko. Those same dollars won't buy me a european anything that will preform half as well. Is it a difference in manufacturing costs? I can find no significant benefit for the expense. Splain it to me lucy
I just remembered that Angelina Jolie bought Brad a $3 Million platinum Patek, originally made for JB Champion, when they got married 2 years ago.Now that they have split, Angelina kind of strikes me as the type of lady that might throw her ex's stuff in a pile and burn it.Heres a link about the watch in case you forgot about it: .dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ding-gift.html
Ok gents, here we go. Ordered this guy back in October when I was told the new watches would start hitting ADs. Needless to say we all know how deliveries in the watch world work for new products. Lag city. I'm told it's one of the first to hit US markets but who knows. It's too new to really comment on the wearability etc. I think it's a real knockout though. The black is so deep and glossy. It appears impeccably finished. Im still learning how to get the case back open a little more seamlessly, totally scared I'm scratching up the case back in the process. The leather strap is gonna need some work to break in as it's super stiff. It's the glossy gator so it dresses it up. I'll look into matte options on strap from PP, hope they make them. Sacrificed my 5167 on bracelet to help with sticker shock. Here she is:
