Citizen BM8242-08E wrist watches news:
I got a PM from Cary Hurt the other day. He said he had an NOS dial that matched the old, scratched, grubby one on the 24h Elgin 729 I've shown here previously. He sent it out the next day, for no charge, and even threw in an NOS Elgin waterproof crown! Here's the before picture:And here it is, after...It's so much better, now I'm no longer ashamed to wear it! Of course, since it's a 24 hour dial, it's still pretty confusing. That time isn't 6:15, it's 1:15 PM - it'll mess you up. Of course, now it needs a new crystal, so you can see it more clearly!THANKS CARY!!
Hi Rik,I was quite puzzled with some answer from the Omega AD, and some watch shops ( grey market etc) , re their explanation on my omega seamaster chronodiver ( i believe its 7750 movement). I was asking whether the chronograph push button can be operated under water, say like 1 m deep.. ( ok, im not that "diver" ). It seems everybody has their own different answer and some even touch a bit on technical terms .. can you help to give your opinion on this ? would it be technically possible to make it operable underwater ? would it damage the seal and the water will sneak in ? even it has an extra screw lock kind of things on the button ?appreciate your help thanking you in advancergdsPete J
Hi,I am in a limbo between getting the grey titanium or the blue steel offshore(titanium/steelE serial..or maybe a blue steel D serial. Also some D serial steel models has the tropic face are they a better investment? From a collectors perspective or future investment what is the recommended of the two?Thank you.
Come on guys....anyone else have this piece?....under certain light the dial looks silver...spoken to lots of people and it is so difficult to get it just right, but when you look at this dial under Halogen light at just the right angle it appears most definitely silver.....most of the time it looks white (which is fine)....is it just the texture of the paint????? what is it????...white first picture, silver second.....I know the second picture really does look just like the texture of the paint but really, in the flesh it does look very very silvery......still love it!!!!
I'm looking for a gift for my wife's birthday and have looked at the Patek Nautilus' and the 4910 line (quartz). The 4910 is a good looking watch but I just can't bring myself to buy a quartz watch at that price. Does anyone have thoughts on the 4910 line and any suggestions for women's watches?
