Corum Corum 12075 wrist watches news:
Moritz Grossman is a name you probably haven't heard of before, which is a bit surprising given the lineage of the man the company is named for. Back in 1842, Herr Grossman began a watchmaking apprenticeship, which he ended up completing early due to his talent. Over the next 13 years, he traveled around Europe (including a stop in La Chaux-de-Fonds), before coming back to Dresden in 1845. And this year, a new chapter in the legacy of Mortiz Grossman sees a new high-end German watch brand. In Dresden, Mortiz's good friend Adolph Lange (yes, the A. Lange) had established his facilities in Glash¨¹tte, and convinced Grossman to stay in the area. Stay he did, creating things such as the Glash¨¹tte lathe, and various escapements and other movement improvements until his death in 1885. Grossman is part of the history of German watchmaking and today his name is on the face of some gorgeous, wonderfully Germanic timepieces of a high pedigree.Given the name this brand carries, and where it's locat
A friend of mine¡¯s uncle passed away recently and left her, as she put it, ¡°a crap load of watches.¡± She knows I like watches and said I could have my pick. I didn¡¯t want to sound greedy and said if she wasn¡¯t going to find use for them, I would take one. I asked if she knew what kind of watches they were and she said, one is a Rolex. I told her she could sell it and she said she would rather I had it. Here is a wrist shot. I¡¯ve love the look, but I have that ¡°it¡¯s too good to be true¡± feeling. I¡¯ve never owned a Rolex before. How can I tell if this is a genuine Rolex and not a fake? I can¡¯t get to an AD until this weekend. What should I look for myself until then? Thanks for any info. So I took the watches in for "fixin'" and the Hammy is going to be $42...bad circuit board...he says by Friday. He was also suprised it went bad because as he pointed out they use a much higher quality ETA quartz in the Hamilton than in Victronox quartz, which he carries.Next the Timex got a new crystal for $18 I hope, I'll tell you why later, but since my son wore it for about 10 days it hasn't gotten much use.I also took in an old Victronox Renegade and he's putting a whole new movement in that for $24.So "hopefully" Friday they'll all be done and working. Now on to my next idea and if its not allowed, moderators feel free to dump this post.I've decided that, assuming the Timex is fixed and something weird doesn't happen, and the Victronox I want to give away on here. (stole the idea).Realize they are both used and do show wear, but here's the catchI want it to go to a child, nephew, niece, etc. Why? Because that's the future of our hobby, our kids. My boys don't want either watch

Hi allLooking to add my first Patek for my 30th birthday. Both these pieces are great. Aquanaut seems more versatile, Calatrava seems more special. Tough decision, any pointers please?CheersAnujSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
