Hamilton....desk clock?
Went to an auction today. Found this in a little 'flat' of stuff, it was only 5$ so I popped on it!It was kinda hard to photograph. But it's in ok shape, the crystal is plastic and has gotten scratched, could I fix that? My dad suggested we take very fine sandpaper and a buffer and try to polish the plastic crystal up.It's made mainly of brass, the green around it is like some sort of faux marble pattern. Made in Germany, I've wound it and it works like a charm!Anyone know anything about desk clocks?

White gold (filled) Hamiltons
Having three wgf Hamiltons, I'd like to see more, so post yours here and create a gallery of those beauties. White solid gold ones are welcome too ;). Maybe you could also let us know what you think of wg in particular? I think that some of the designs made by Hamilton and others look really great and even better with the kind of "silver" touch on it. Especially white gold and black enemal numbers are an eyecatcher, like the Merritt of Tom and also his Mason. But I hear often from other collectors that they do not really like white gold since its just a kind of cheap platinum or most people could not tell the difference in white gold and steel and therefore think of it as a "cheaper" watch than it really is. What do you think of such statements?Besides some pics of my own wgf watches, the Mason, the Ross and a Raleigh:
