Movado 0605822 wrist watches news:
Has this reference gone the way of the new Rolex Daytona in that you basically give your name to the AD and wait a few years? Any suggestions would be helpful.
We went on a short 3 day cruise in addition to a day at the magic kingdom so I had a chance to visit the John Bull main store. Of course, no sports models, etc. Lots of DJs and DDs and several Daytonas on rubber strap. I inquired about subs, gmts, etc and the nice lady said they have them all on order, but are completely out company wide. No big surprise there.I did, however, try on the platona for the first time. Ooooh, that watch is nice!Enclosed is a photo of the zen place I reached over the weekend in the Bahamas.
I just picked up my 50th Anniversary Submariner which I have owned for almost 10 years from the Rolex Boutique here in Southern California. This was the 2nd time I had taken it back to them for a service within 3 months. It was not even close on accuracy after the first service. The dealer said they would ship it back to Dallas to have them recalibrate it again. So essentially I was without the watch for nearly 4 months. I asked them if they could expedite it since it took 8 weeks the first time and it wasn't serviced correctly but they said No, it will take another 8 weeks. It was a disappointing experience. The store seemed like they could care less. I have no idea if they even sent it back for a recalibration. I hope so! I am going to check the accuracy but I guess in the future I should take it directly to Rolex in Beverly Hills or ship my watches myself. Has anyone else had a poor experience with Rolex service? Has anyone bypassed the AD stores? I know some prefer independent s
Hello everybody.I am not interested in watches in general, but the only one I would like to have is Day-Date (YG/WG); however I am curious whether it would fit my very small wrist with the Presidential bracelet. Do the permanent links have to be removed if I'd like to have it well fitted for 5.5 wrist? When it comes to watches for me - it is either Day-Date or no watch (haven't wore watch almost entire life). Also, I am very modest and having this kind of watch with relatively small wrist could look kinda... lets say that would be mentally contradictive for me :) (someone could guess from my nick!)This one watch fever for Rolex has been for months, and I just try to cope with it now somehow!P.S. I am a male so no women's day-date watches for me :D
Does anyone else think this dial is hard to read? I just wish there was more dial choices. Whatever happened to just plain white stick dial! Always a problem! LOL
