Breitling 81950 A wrist watches news:
I find that it is my duty to share with you information about? limited offerings of unique and attractive watches that you might not learn about anywhere else. This is the case with this limited edition Arctos Elite GPW K1 watch constructed with a ceramic case. GPW stands for "German Precision Watch," which is honestly a silly phrase, but for a serious watch. All you need to get out of that name is that this Arctos watch is proudly German-made, which means it constructed well and a good value. Now, what makes this Arctos Elite GPW watch so interesting is that it is a limited edition concept based on another GPW watch model - the standard K1. The limited edition uses the same ceramic case (yes, the ultra hard - virtually scratch-proof - zirconium oxide compound) but with a much more interesting dial than the standard version. The limited edition is also less expensive than the standard model! How can that be? Well it really has to do with the fact that this is basically a concept watch.
Getting a simple three-hander right is an elusive accomplishment. Whether it’s a dive watch or formal wear, the little details can make or break everything, and it is in the latter that Jaeger-LeCoultre has excelled with the new Master Ultra Thin Date. Sleek and balanced proportions are made possible thanks to the svelte JLC-manufactured caliber 899, which even packs an automatic winding system and date complication for good measure. At just 7.45 mm thick, the Ultra Thin Date has made little in the way of compromises.Ultra thin watches are nothing new at Jaeger-LeCoultre. They’ve managed to fit a diverse range of complications within their Master Ultra Thin family, including perpetual calendars and tourbillons alike. If your budget is under the $10,000 mark, the Ultra Thin Date will be your entry to this club. For 2015, the watch gains another layer of subtlety. 1 OF 1 The new Master Ultra Thin Date will be offered in a steel case, sized at 40 mm in diameter
I've been lusting after the blue dial 3523.80 for several years now, but when I came across the 3523.30 silver dial version - WOW! I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on it first. I've got around two dozen vintage Hamiltons laying around waiting to be sold and I think I've found some motivation to do so to fund this purchase. Actually, I should be able to come up with enough $ from the sales to get both.
image.jpgHad a great time watching golf Sunday. Some rain but not too bad. Wore my speedy on a green perlon. Visited the Omega tent and was greated by a very knowledgable watch maker in the Nashville Boutique. Was given this freebie awesome hat. So at the end of the tournament I walked up the fairway and showed it off ;) Got yelled at when I tried my luck on the next fairway heading towards the shuttle :( Anyways thought I would share some photos.
How many issues can you spot?I headed over to this AD the other day - just wanting to try on a Speedmaster. Instead, I got the 'overly informative' sales person who knew absolutely nothing. How are they still in business??Capture.JPG
