Omega Watches Will Be "Officially Certified" By New Swiss METAS Certification, COSC Abandoned
Today, Omega has announced some very exciting news in regard to how it will certify the performance and accuracy of their timepieces with in-house produced movements. In short, Swiss Omega watches will abandon COSC Chronometer certification in favor of a new and more comprehensive certification by the Swiss government controlled METAS agency. One major reason for this is that moving forward more and more Omega watches will contain the company's Master Co-Axial technology which includes both a unique type of escapement as well as anti-magnetic properties. According to parent company the Swatch Group, Omega is about to offer what possibly is the most comprehensive and extensive way of certifying a mechanical watch. G-Shock...but not exactly a watch
Hope this is ok here...it sort of relates to watches. Designed along the lines of a G-Shcok watch, its a "G-phone"...shock and water resist. I had to change providers to get it, but having gone through a couple of phones in which one was dropped and broken and the other got soaked and quit all together, I figured like the watches, this phone would be a good bet for me. I think Casio has a video blurb on their site about it.

I was under the impression it was hard to find. What do you all think?

Anyone regret getting sub vs. sub date or vice versa?
I¡¯ve found myself in the position of deciding between a sub and a sub date like so many others have discussed in previous posts. I¡¯m curious about getting a more nuanced perspective on the decision compared to what I¡¯ve seen before though. Anyone regret making the decision to go with the sub or sub date after some time? What were your thoughts as you decided that the other option may have been better? I know that after the thrill of a new watch settles in and you get used to it you start noticing characteristics that weren¡¯t readily apparent. For me I was always set on the sub without a date, until I tried on a sub date. That then had me thinking that the sub looked a bit plain and incomplete. I wear my pieces for myself, but a guilty part of me also wanted my watch to be more recognizable, and the cyclops certain helps with that. On the other hand the sub without the cyclops is super clean, symmetrical, and I wonder how much of a pain it will be to have to deal with part of the dial b
