In 2008, Breguet introduced a new way of designing minute repeaters, fitting them with re-engineered movements incorporating new materials and featuring innovative positions for the gongs, gong rests and hammers. This patented technique is now available in Breguet minute repeater ref. 7639. The 44.5 mm case houses a minute repeater movement, but some might say the real treasure is on the outside. The 18K white gold case is set with 178 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 11.81 carats. The 18K gold dial is set with 392 princess-cut diamonds that are mounted upside down. ETA 2836 movement in King Pilot- Winder settings
I have the King Khaki Pilot 46mm with the ETA 2836 movement. A great, accurate movement. I have a winder incoming and from what I have read, it seems that some movements can be wound bi-directionally and some are only supposed to be wound one way (clockwise or counterclockwise) in a winder. Does anyone know which is right for this movement? Thanks!
I have the King Khaki Pilot 46mm with the ETA 2836 movement. A great, accurate movement. I have a winder incoming and from what I have read, it seems that some movements can be wound bi-directionally and some are only supposed to be wound one way (clockwise or counterclockwise) in a winder. It is a Swiss WWI trench watch with the rare design of an integrated shrapnel guard where usually the guard is held in place by the strap, and not, like on this piece where it is integrated into the bezel.Patria is a Latin word cognate with the Greek πατρίς (patris), both of which derive from the word for ”°father”±, or ”°fatherland”±
