Vacheron Constantin 47120 White Gold wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. ?Today, we're talking with Francois-Paul Journe, who heads up his eponymous brand, F.P. Journe. ?Coincidentally, he's just celebrated 30 years with the company, so our interview could not have occurred at a better time.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Francois-Paul Journe (FPJ): I consider myself as a mechanical engineer and watch constructor above all - of course, I am a watchmaker as well. It is more than a passion, it is my life! I believe I am one of the only watchmakers to continue producing watches in the same manner and with the same respect as it used to be done when horology was a science. There are fundamental values in high horology that pertain from the last 250 years that needs to be respected. I mark it as a point of honor to continue
Seiko, Citizen and ETA make downloadable technical guides for their respective movements available on the web. Does anyone know if Orient also provides such information and what the link might be.Thanks
I've exhausted my googleability trying to find out more info on this Seiko 6M26 movement:I love the fact that behind this elegant, simple, classy, inconspicuous face lies a gamut of gadgets.Of course, it has been out of production for over 10 years, and was only sold in Japan. And, it appears to be a highly sought-after quartz movement. So, finding one might be tricky.Would anyone happen to know how many styles/colors/bands this particular movement came in? I don't suppose anyone has a Japanese Seiko catalog from the mid-'90s!Honestly, I really like the all silver shown above. I just thought I'd see if there are any other options I might like better. Thanks
