Dior CD112116R001 wrist watches news:
Any advice on how to remedy the problem?I was thinking red minute and hour hands. Will Rolex do anything like that? Thanks,
wwI watch 007.jpgwwI watch 010.jpgwwI watch 001.jpgwwI watch 003.jpgwwI watch 005.jpgI stumbled across this watch and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. I have never been apart of a forum until now so I hope I am posting this in the right spot. It is an elgin usa....from what I can see from WWI??? Not completely sure though. It looks to be gold over sterling. It has USN on it which I am thinking is United States Navy. It has initials J.A on the back. With Speidel USA band. Help me out here? I am a collector of knives and know nothing about watches besides what I have listed which I am unsure how valid it is. If you have any info let me know or if you can redirect me to a different site that would be awesome.
On some of them I see "Swiss made" written under the 6 o'clock dial, but on other I don't. Why is that?Alex
Picked this up a while ago put it in the watch case and kinda forgot about it. Took it out this morning gave it a new band, two or three turns on the winder to get it going and it's been running like a champ all day. 12 and a half hours so far and keeping absolute perfect time. (If an old no name auto like this stays within a minute a day I'm happy)Does anyone know just what exactly I have here?? I've searched the web with very little luck. Pretty much just this:Talis = "The Talis Watch Co.", La Chaux-de-Fonds and London, active in 1917 to 1937, then another sign of life in 1959What little information I have found has been on what are likely later incarnations of this company, where the name on the dial is surrounded by a batman like outline.Any info would be greatly appreciated.
So I'm looking to add to my collection and have narrowed the search down to a few AP's.My collection currently consists of the AP Diver, Rolex Deep Sea, SS Daytona with the black dial and a IWC Portuguese ChronoI have narrowed my search down to the following AP's:- RO Chronograph w/ Panda Dial- RO 15400 SS w/ silver dial- ROO Safari- ROO PandaOf these four, which would you guys choose and which watch do you think would be the most timeless. Thanks for the time.
