Dior CD114311R001 wrist watches news:
"Watch What-If" is a special column on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer that asks the playful question "what if an iconic watch you know and love was offered in a different style?" The idea embraces a good timepiece's core design and has fun by offering new colors and material concepts to stimulate your senses. These ideas may be provocative, artistic, or just plain silly. This is about fun, Photoshop, and the celebration of wrist watch design and experimentation. The original design we work off will always be at the bottom of the article. The designs are brought to life by Beau Hudspeth who does the artwork and concepting after he and I choose the models and styles to focus on. These special design experiments are extremely time consuming and labor intensive but we hope you enjoy the results. Ideas and comments are more than welcome. Enough response may even lead to a round two of design of the same watch - so please comment below. You are also encouraged to suggest watches that make it into
Porsche Design began a retro-updating as more than other brands last year that they get near a great brand anniversary next year. On the one hand, I could dismiss all that they do with retro-Renaissance as fair play with "follow the leader", but is not quite the case of Porsche Design. Everything that Porsche Design is any first abandoning their line of thinking more contemporary, future watch. Second, Porsche Design offer reruns of classic designs do step to relive the past, but to do things well. More drawings as 6520 P and P 6530 (last year offered as a model for heritage limited edition), were futuristic to begin with, thus making them once again still feels like they are on the future.
....all the black straps with red stitching? I remember a few being on the market when I finished the restoration of the Heuer Autavia last year, but decided to wait to grab one. Silly of me, because they seem to have vanished! I also took a look at the strap for the Christopher Ward Speedhawk, but it's 22 mm at the lugs and I need 20. So what's a WIS to do? How about ordering this:and using one of these:to end up with this:Stupid way to do it, but it works. I guess I'll find out how permanent these markers really are. For $19 with shipping, why not?
Hey guys, hope you are all doing well.I have to start by saying that I am relatively new in the watch world.I have currently a Rolex SS Sub, and a Patek Aquanaut. Both watches that I enjoy and wear a lot. After much consideration, and lurking around, I want to add more complications to my collection over the years, and I would love to start with a Chrono. At first I was thinking of a Daytona. In all honesty, I didn't fall in love with it as much as others have, it just didn't sing to me as much. Then I cam across the speed master. I absolutely love the history of that piece. Omega brings more diversity to my collection which I also like.I just see so many different versions, and am a little lost on which ones are the more admired ones. How does one pick from so many different versions. Are the numbered edition special?I have recently seen one on a leather strap.Appreciate your help and thank you!
Any AD's I've spoken to laugh when I ask this question. They state clearly that Patek is making watches that last a lifetime or three, and that it can surely be, or even should be, a daily watch. Further on, I'm told that many Patek owners have only one watch so clearly it's a daily. However, I have read that it should not be. I personally love my 114060 as my daily, and don't see that changing, but I'm still curious what the experts here think.
