Dior CD1235E0C001 wrist watches news:
ORIS Air Racing III Limited Edition Watch for 2013While I am a huge fan of pilot watches, and certainly of flying as an efficient and economical form of transportation, when ORIS invited me to attend the Reno Air Races in Nevada, I had a small pause due to a terrible accident there a few years ago and also the fact that Breitling has been historically such a huge sponsor of this event. Oris also produced a Reno Air Racing Limited Edition III watch for the 2013 event. However, after looking into the safety measures taken since and most importantly learning a bit about the brand via the Internet, my decision was clear. This could be fun, and give me an opportunity to learn more about the brand, as a few times ORIS has come up in comments on this site especially when I reviewed diving watches such as the?Sinn U1. And, most importantly, this was for me an opportunity to find out if ORIS lives up to its simple motto: real watches, for real people.ORIS' Plane the Scarlet ScreamerORIS has an i

I know I'm not super active here (there's just too many watch forums to keep up with these days) but I did want to share with this group my view on the new Prometheus Ocean Diver. It's a mid-priced, Swiss made watch with a lot of great qualities. I'm quite happy with it. The journey for the Prometheus Ocean Diver from concept to completion has been a long one. The watch began with a design contest open to any readers of the design forum. Ideas and designs were submitted and then voted upon by the forum members. Once the chosen design was finalized and the specs were determined they were sent to the manufacture in China for prototype assembly. The original plan was to built and affordable, quality watch from China using the Seagull ST16 automatic movement. As the prototypes were delivered and examined by the Prometheus staff they found that the product was not quite living up to their expectations. The movement was not performing as well as they had expected and the fit and finish was n
I'm not quite sure how tourbillons work. Can anyone shed some light on the mechanics and purpose of a tourbillon? Are they really that effective?
My situation is history so I am needing input to prevent this from happening in the future. I buy a Rolex and wear it happily for approx. 10 years. Send it to N.Y. for service. Hands are tarnished, so is Dial. Bracelet is stretched. I ask them to get it lookin good again, which they did. Wear it happily for approx. 7 more years. Send it to N.Y. for service again. Needs a few items as before. Watch looks great. I am Happy. The watch is now 50 years old. I realize I have paid Rolex not once but Twice to remove Vintage parts and replace with new. I now have a Vintage Nothing. This was all my doing. How long has Rolex been loading my Gun so I can Shoot myself in the foot? I ain't Easy being Me !
