Ebel 1090910-9960P wrist watches news:
I sometimes wonder, when we post pictures and articles of watches like this, or this, or even this, whether we are not inadvertently creating the impression that we spend most of our time at Chateau Hodinkee alternating between sippin’ Darjeeling on the veranda with our pinkies out, and upbraiding Manservant Jeeves for being slow with the Pol Roger and caviar at teatime. When you’re heavy into mechanical watches there’s a sort of creeping tendency, over the years, to make the unspoken assumption that all other things being equal, you get what you pay for – which is to say, if it’s not expensive it ain’t much. The fact is, though, that really good design, quality in execution, and even real horological charm, to say nothing of a healthy helping of history, can be had for less than the cost of what my long-suffering spouse and I spend on dry cleaning every week. I recently sold a Vintage TT Datejust 1601. The buyer calls me yesterday and tells me the bracelet is a poor 10 kt after market with real correct end pieces and a correct real Rolex clasp on it. He said his "watch guy" determined this with a hand held laser. I was mortified, and if true will make good on it. How likely is it that someone would go to all the trouble of putting legit end pieces and a real clasp on a cheap bracelet? I told him that I wanted to see it in writing from an AD or Rolex as I wasn't just going to take his word.If true, what is just the watch head worth(just serviced) or how much should I deduct? Thanks for any opinions as I have never had this happen.
Don't know anything about Benrus, any information is helpful.Serial Number is 418938.DSCN2347.jpgDSCN2353.jpgDSCN2350.jpgAny ballpark estimate of how much it's worth, or how old it is is VERY helpful.I apologize if I did anything wrong - this is my first post.
Hello AP Section,I'm considering my first AP. A friend of mine owns a reference #26120ST.OO.1220ST.01 and is considering letting it go for what I think is a good price. It is in very, very nice condition. My question for the forum is: would you consider this to be a good option even if it would be my only AP (at least for some time)? Do you have a better suggestion for me should I only buy one for my collection? Thanks in advance.https://.audemarspiguet/en/wa...T.OO.1220ST.01
Please give your take on this 2 gorgeous model.
