Ebel 1215856 wrist watches news:
I've read countless discussions where one member complains about the accuracy of his new watch and is advised by others to give it a few weeks to "break in". I have a problem with this. First of all I've never had a new mechanical watch run badly and then correct itself so I don't support this theory. But I have a few questions for those that do. How do the certified watches pass the COSC testing procedures? Do the manufacturers break them in before sending them? And wouldn't you think that even non-COSC watches are regulated at the factory before shipping?Would they deliberately regulate them +17 seconds knowing that when they break in they'll slow down?
It arrived!! And it looks spectacular! It looks much better in the flesh than it does in the pictures on the Longines web site. It makes me stop and think that I really need to have a look at some others in the flesh that I hadn't really considered before, such as the Hydro Conquest. It also makes me feel that my pictures are really inadequate to show just how nice this watch is. It is really, IMO, nicer than the Tag Carrera, which I had thought looked great in some of the shots I had seen on this forum. The red accents on the Longines really highlight the watch nicely.OK, some specs:Reference: L3.636.4.50.2Movement: L667 (modified Valjoux 7750)Case: Stainless SteelSize: 42mmLug Width: 20mmWater Resistance: 50mIt has anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal, but I still get a lot of reflection from the crystal. Also, it has Superluminova, but the lume is not as strong as I would have hoped. It can be read in the dark, but it does not stand out. It is comprehensively outsh

Hi all,One of my employees was working a lot and performed excellent. I also reminded him so many times that he would lose his 5 sick days if he doesn't take them and... he lost them because he wanted to finish an important project. As I value his support and his time, I decided to buy him a Rolex and it would be great if you could help me chose!I am between 2 timeless classics... a SS Sub date vs. a DJ41 Black with Jubilee. Which one would you chose? Currently he has only a GMT Tag and he really deserves an upgrade :)Poll started and thank you for your advise!Note: I've an excellent relationship with my AD and he can get both within a monthAlex
