IWC New Pilot Watches For 2012
If you are a dedicated watch follower, then by now you know that 2012 is the year of the Pilot watch for IWC. Last week I shared my thoughts on the new for 2012 IWC Pilot Chronograph Top Gun Miramar watch here. Now I get to share with you the entire collection of new Pilot watches from the brand. You'll notice that there are more new Top Gun watches including a non-chronograph automatic with a seven day power reserve, some updated classics, and a new very much modern military look to the pieces.None of the new pilot watches are going to make you do a double take. $1200 Gift money to spend
Hi, guys! This is my first post. I'm a kind of Vintage guy. I have an old Omega Seamaster auto with two toned gold dial and a pretty cheap Geneveve model with black face and silver case. And, a few months ago, a generous friend gave me an Omega Deville Automatic with coaxial escapement, limited edition, which I am not sure how much it's worth, but it is a black dial with gray center on a chrome case. I assume it's expensive. I know I could not afford a watch like that on my salary. I'm a schoolteacher and for retirement they are going to get me a gift. I'd like a watch.....I'd prefer an Omega. My question is....they are giving me between a $1000 to $1200 gift. Is there a reasonable new Omega that you would suggest at that price. Or should I opt for another brand?Thanks so much for your help

Rolex Sizing~Explorer II
When an Explorer II owner looks at his/her watch do they find it small compared to say an Omega Seamaster? The difference is 1mm against the Rolex. I currently wear a Seamaster at 41mm and a Planet Ocean at 44.25mm, but love the white dial on the Explorer II. I tried one on briefly and my first impression was "small". I didn't really get a chance to get used to it on my wrist so it could have been the initial impression.What do you think?

Should Rolex pay more attention to detail?
Call me picky, but if I was paying ?4460 for a GMT II 116710LN should I expect there to be no gap between the inner ring of the ceramic bezel and the outer edge of the crystal. Imagine the amount of crap that'll get in there over the years!

ROO 44mm rosegold
Hello TrfLast weekend I went to Rome and came home with a brand new PP5711, which was all good, almost. Problem is that I during some sightseeing came by a local AP boutique and ventured inside. The service was pleasant and very service minded. I tried a couple of nice watches but it was not until I tried the ROO Lightning struck ;-)I have never had the watch on my radar being 44mm and way to large. But I'm a semi-big guy just above 100kg and when viewed in the mirror it looked perfect. Now I'm giving hard thought flipping my gold GMT and date just II, adding a little cash and getting a rose gold ROO. After seeing the AP live my gold GMT feels cheap and the finish seems dull. Nobody where I live knows AP and I like that. How do you think the ROO in rose gold will hold up as a daily driver, office-work? I'm thinking the more scratch resistant bezel will help reducing daily tear. I like the thought of having a really nice daily driver and not just something I put on on occasion. RegardsA
