Ebel 1215902 wrist watches news:
Good evening to you all. Just thought I'd post some pics of our latest limited edition Panerai. Its the only one in the World, and already sold to a client in Dubai.Hope you all enjoy the pics and thanks for looking.Best regardsPaul Thorpekindlerthorpe
tinyurl/y8epncdAlmost $900 for a yellow gold Meadowbrook with luminous dial. Considering that the photos are of bad quality and don't show good detail or even the movement, I'd say that the buyer was taking a chance at price. The dial looked okay, but aged and spotted at the edges, as far as I can tell. Hopefully it looks much better in person, though! Here's the photo of the watch face directly (I couldn't extract the URL for the side photo):I'm somewhat pleased, since the market for Meadowbrooks (which are really quite scarce) seemed to be flat, or depressed, for the past few years (and I own two of them!). But perhaps this is just an eBay fluke.
I'm visiting with someone who could be selling a small pocket watch collection. She got them from her father who passed away recently. She doesn't want to sell them as scrap but she doesn't collect them (She collects Japanese art and Kimonos)She's rather nice and level-headed, we could make a deal but first I would like some help. The pictures aren't that great because I didn't have my usual setup, but I'll do my best to describe them.NoteI didn't want to force open the backs, the seller wasn't sure if they would screw off or pop off, and I didn't want to ding/dent them. So I won't have some movement shots.Pocket Watch #1First up is a hunting-style case, smaller-size. Cased in 18k Gold it's in great shape, but doesn't seem to be running. It looks like a more standard-styled watch.Seller's photoPocket Watch #2A railroad style. This is a smaller-sized one. The dial is nicely made, looks to be 18k gold.Seller's photoPocket Watch #3Railroad style, smaller-sized. I love the dial on this one,
Let's see your moon phase watches. Here are mine:Revue ThommenFrederique ConstantStuhrling (while it is quartz, I still love the dial)Jacques Lemansthe watch that got me into collecting
I got the PO a week ago to be my daily wearer, but I think I'm turning out to be a Rolex Guy. It's the 42mm one with black bezel and SS bracelet. New condition, bought from an AD. It actually keeps much better time than my Rolex, at less than +1 second per day. Don't know what to price it at though. Not crazy about ebay, where do you guys post? If it doesn't sell, I'll probably just get an orange bezel for it to differentiate it more from by Sub and just keep it, but I would rather put it towards another rollie at the moment.
