Battery dead ??
Hi. This is my first post. Great site.I have bought my second Hamilton. C***co had a bacic Kahki filed watch for $118.00. Took it home and it doesnt work ??? Stupid question but is there some way of starting the mechanism or is the battery dead. The sticker on the back says to replace the battery prior to 04/10 !! So it should be good.p.s. my other Hamilton is a LLBean I bought 18 yrs ago...an automatic field watch which is no longer made.Thanks.

Hi......again..here's another point,and question,concerning my 7750 running fast. There is but one local jewelery store here where I live.. I've had jewelery work done there in the past. I called asking if there was any local watch repair person,at the store. The owner stated he used to do repair work,many years ago, but no longer took repair work in.He did say he started many years ago,along side a very good older watchmaker,and they worked together,for about ten years. This watchmaker passed away at 90,two years ago. He asked what I needed a watchmaker for.I explained,the running fast issue of my chrono,and how I was trying to find a demagnetizer,and try this approach first,before going farther to a repair person.. Without hesitation,he stated that he didn't think that was going to be the problem....demagnetizing wasn't going to

New Swiss Army SSC Models
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had seen these new models from Swiss Army out in the wild yet:swissarmy/timepieces/...?category=ssc&They look great - Swiss Army is definitely moving upscale. I was also wondering if anyone knew what movement they were using - particularly the large chronos. I would guess the 7750 - since I belive that is whats used on their Ambassador XL models - but they don't specifcy on their website (wonder why?). Thanks!
