Ebel 9157F14/9225 wrist watches news:
I love the Rolex Explorer I.? It's the little brother in the Rolex sports watch family, it was my first Rolex, and regularly it gets left out of the all the mega-Rolex hoopla that we so often see at auctions with rare versions of Daytonas, Subs, and GMT's bringing in big bucks.? So, when we opened up the Christie's Geneva May catalog and saw the watch here, we knew we had to cover it.? It is a seriously rare watch, and it happens to be an Explorer I.Dating to 1958, this is a reference 6610, the predecessor to the commonly seen 1016.? The case is in fantastic shape with nice thick lugs, and everything on this guy is original...including its WHITE dial.? Yes, white.? As many of you know, Submariners, GMT's, and Explorers all come with black dials.? Except when they don't.? You see, from time to time, the very odd white dial sport watch shows up, and some cry foul, and others cry glory.? I have a Bond chrono (2599.80) in very nice condition with both boxes warr card (Expired) just serviced and pressure tested in May. Any suggestion on pricing??Thanks!!Andy
Hey guys, just showing you my new watch that came in today. I am VERY happy with it. I spent alot of time on the internet looking for a watch. I originally wanted a Datejust but I kept an open mind. After reading several reviews, I settled on a Seamaster Professional. Pictures aren't the greatest but I was anxious to get some up. Special thanks to Gladiator who was nice enough to help me look over the details of the sales post when I found it (it is pre-owned). Condition is immaculate, no visible scratches unless you were to look carefully through a magnifying lense. My Two Beauties
I know the pic is awful, but it's all I have. This is a pic I took from my TV.I think it might be an Omega based on the case shape. Definitely a pilot.
