New Platinum Yacht-Master!!!!!!
As you may have saw, went to the AD to get the wife a new Datejust.. Well, picked her out one and negotiated a great price off the 'old' price.. Just couldn't pass it up Getting ready to check out I jokingly asked if he'd match that discount (over 15%! ) on one of the Rolex Sports watches. His reply, which one?? I said how about the 40mm platinum Yacht-Master (I just knew he wouldn't- I've never seen discounts over 10% here). He scrunches his face & says 'let me check'.. A few minutes later he says YES! My jaw drops. So -knowing I'll never get a new one for that price again, I instantly say yes too. Price off the 'new' prices - almost 30%!! That's the power of an AD relationship!! So - walked out with a Datejust for the missus, and another Yacht-Master for me. I still can't believe I got myself another one.. Remember - no new watches for me in '08.. Yea - so much for that!!! So here it is......Some face shots....And some clasp shots Oh, and BTW - I place all the blame

Girard-Perregaux Seahawk Pro II - running very fast - magnetized? HELP
Hello all,I am perplexed..I have a GP Seahawk II Pro in gold and titanium that is running fast and erratic. I bought it earlier in the year and it was running 3-4 mins fast per day. I sent it off to a GP certified shop for a complete overhaul.I keep it on an Orbita winder at their recommended setting of 500 rpd.I just noticed today that it appears to be running 30 secs fast PER HOUR. I sent a note to the shop that did the service and they said that it could be magnetized or that the winder is putting too much pressure on the mainspring.I don't understand how either of these could be effecting the watch. I have no idea how the watch could have gotten magnetized in the first place and I would have thought that the Orbita database would be factory specs.Is there a simple way to de-magnetize the watch at home?I'm open for all suggestionsPlease help!!CheersMark
