Buying my first Hamilton (X-wind)... a couple of questions for the experts...
Hey gang, I'm strongly considering a Hamilton Khaki X-Wind (steel case, yellow/cream-ish looking dial), and I have a couple of questions. First of all, I'm looking for a good recomendation on where to buy this watch. For some reason, there just doesn't seem to be anywhere around town (mall or otherwise) that carries Hamilton. I've seen a couple of good prices on Overstock and on the bay, but even those "power sellers" on the bay, can you really trust those auctions? Unless, of course, anyone has any stellar recomendations from someone they've done business with before, that would instill more confidence in me.The second question is, how are the straps on these X-Winds for those folks like myself with bigger wrists? The majority of my collection consists of watches on a steel bracelet, and even when purchasing Rolex, I've always had to add a link. Needless to say, I'm stupid when it comes to straps. High accuracy quartz (Less than 10 secs per year), smooth sweeping seconds hand all for well below USD $1,000?I am loving this idea already!Seems to me ever since Citizen's purchase of Bulova they will be poised to retake some lost market ground and offer truly interesting pieces in years to come.If this watch looks right, I may well go for one and forgo the Citizen Chronomaster all together!.Discuss.

Baume et Mercier; Montblanc and Maurice Lacroix
Greetings!When looking for watch prices i occasionally stumble on offerings fromthese brands, recently i went to an AD and had the chance to handle a Montblanc chrono which was very nice indeed, when i asked for the price i realized that it was more expensive than a comparable Omega Speedmaster which is a chronometer (and is an Omega).Most or many of the model offerings from these companies are very pricey, but my question is: are they comparable to say Breitlings or Omegas?.Most of these watches aren¡ät even chronometers.I see a reason to spend big bucks on a chronometer, but big bucks for a non-chronometer watch???.Is it all "fit and finish" ??What am i missing?cheers!MM

Rubber B glidelock vs Everest glidelock...especially for large wrists
On the fence between the two and could use help deciding for my sport model.Many members state the Everest is more comfortable but nearly all reviews only cover the tang buckle with little mention of glidelock clasps.I have zero interest in the tang buckle feedback please and only the rolex glidelock...especially for those of you with larger 7+ inch wrists.Daily comfort and durability are my two main criteria.Thanks for the help!

Over the years I have PS several Concept Rolex. Models I have in mind. I think, I must not the only one, some one the forum must have thought about some models that is not on the market that might have a potential.Why not gather them all in one place?Maybe Rolex design team have interest to take a peek. I'll start with my own creation. Hopefully some members can follow as well and keep this thread going and going.
