The first round of the Autavia Cup is over, and already we can draw some conclusions about the public's preferences. The online competition ¨C which relies on the public's vote ¨C will determine the look of a future Autavia model, to be presented in 2017 by TAG Heuer. So far, the contests have been pretty one-sided, the closest match-up coming from two versions of the Reference 2446. But already we can draw some conclusions from the results of the first round: 1 OF 6 1) People Like A Panda No surprise there. Everybody loves a "panda." So-called because their face looks like that of Giant Panda, these black and white dials are popular at Rolex, Omega, Heuer ¨C and really any brand that has them. Heuer actually only made one panda version of the Autavia during the 1960s, but the current popularity of such watches is probably the reason why TAG Heuer decided to introduce three more "fantasy" options in this year's competition. Hello,I'm selling off my small collection of vintage watches that I've collected over the years and was wondering where is the best place to do so. All are in mint condition and all have been completely overhauled by Rene Rondeau. Non have been worn daily just stored and wound. All are solid 14k and on 18k. I have a Clifford (1954) with engraving on back, Courtney (1958) no engraving, (both of these are very large square watches) a 18k dual tone dial Gordon (1941) no engraving and a Wesley (1941) no engraving. Is ebay the best place to sell these? I've tried to take some close-up pic's but I can't seem to really take a pic like the pic's I see on the sites??? I either get a lot of glare or the flash washes the watch out. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks...
If you remember the thread awhile back about how tough is your dive watch (in case you forgot watchtalkforums.info/foru...orum/43143.htm), I ran across this video and wanted to share. This seems to be a pretty tough one! Rated at 20,000 feet, It will survive but I wont.
