So I have this Hamilton Van Horn and I have no idea what battery to get for it? I have never seen a battery quite like this and am thinking maybe it is the original battery? I just got my new to me watch and I love it. It is a Jaeger lecoultre Master Moon in 18k white gold. I find it to be the perfect size for my wrist and love the balance of the dial. Hello All!My family was up this weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday. At some point the topic of watches came up and my Uncle mentioned that he had my Grandfather's "old work watch." He said I should look at it and fix it up.Well, today it arrived in the mail. I must admit, I was expecting a Timex from the '60s. I know nothing about this watch other than it has seen some very long and hard days. My Grandfather served in the Pacific and my Uncle wasn't sure about the time or place the watch was purchased. 5035 vs Lange-matik Big Date
Hello Everyone,I always cringe at the this vs that threads' because lets be honest, it all comes down to personal taste.That being said, I do feel like comparing to fairly similar watches and getting the general opinion.The 5035 seems like a phenomenal value (preowned), and looks gorgeous, and it's a patek.The Langematik big-date also looks gorgeous, costs the same, and way less complicated (although the big-date complication is nice).So I'm just curious as to the opinion of the peanut gallery.Thanks!
