Ebel 9157112-5240P wrist watches news:
I'm currently in the market for a 45mm PO. Do you guys think 25% off retail is a good discount? Thanks Eddie
Hi guys,I am looking for an every day watch to compliment my new JLC dress watch I'm ordering next week.I've sold the Rolex SD and need something sturdy and up to everyday use.I'd prefer a 100m WR but I know the original pro does not have that, does the Sapphire sandwich?I've never been a huge Speedy Pro fan but today I tried one on and I must admit there's just something about it! Those white hands, the size, the general look.anyway despite my reservations about needing a date function (I really do check the date several times a day but that could be cus I have no need to remember it!)I could come round to the manual winding thing (I think)But I don't know if I could accept a heselite glass. I know myself well enough to know I'd scratch the heselite within days! The whole heritage / Moon thing does not mean a lot to me so it's just about the watch.I would therefore probably consider a "Sapphire Sandwich" but am not sure about the extra cost for a couple of sapphire glasses.Any advice?H
I have now been at NAWCC compliments of Gallet Watch company for 4 months. In that time I have cataloged about 1800 timepieces adding proper( I hope?) descriptions and pictures. The database of uploaded pictures now exceeds 10,300 photographs of cataloged pieces.I thought I would update you all with some of the database features open to non members, members do have a few added privileges. Apart from finding out about upcoming events, and general news, additionally you can search three important ways:1) Museum Collection - basically search my manufacturer or by a keyword like automatic wristwatch, alarm even size or jewel count!2) Library - Title or Author or Subject.3) NAWCC Publications and Bulletins.To-days thread (part 1)will cover 'Museum collection'.First searching for Museum Collection i.e. items within the museum collection. The main page is here:Welcome to NAWCCFrom here click on 'MUSEUM' tabNational Watch & Clock MuseumThen 'Museum Collection'>'Search the Collection'N
Ive got a Breitling Aerospace Titanium that was given to the military pilots after the MS Estonia accident. One of twelve made.It got a special dial and some paper proving it from Breitling. It was rarely worn by the pilot and box and papers are complete.Do you think its worth more then a normal Aerospace, or do Breitling do this spacial series all the time, making it nothing special? For those of you who dont remember MS Estonia.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_EstoniaThe accident claimed 852 lives (501 Swedes, 285 Estonians, 17 Latvians, 10 Finns and 44 people of other nationalities: 1 from Belarus, 1 from Canada, 1 from France, 1 from the Netherlands, 1 from Nigeria, 1 from Ukraine, 1 from United Kingdom, 2 from Morocco, 3 from Lithuania, 5 from Denmark, 6 from Norway, 10 from Germany, 11 from Russia), by drowning and hypothermia, (the water temperature was 10¡ãC–11 ¡ãC/50–52 ¡ãF). One prominent victim of the sinking was the popular Estonian singer Urmas Alender. 93 bodies were reco
In my humble opinion Rolex have made a genius move here and have made a huge gesture to owners of the previous WG Pepsi! Why? Few reasons - 1. Interest in the new Pepsi steel will be similar - if not more intense - than the ceramic Daytona and equally as difficult to get hold of, making the old model with black dial much more desirable, albeit in precious metal.2. The black dial will only be available on the new steel jubilee or on the dis-continued 116719. 3. It looks way better on the Oyster bracelet and buying WG will be the only way to own it on one (for now anyway).4. A relatively short and limited run of 116719BLRO will make it a collectors piece - further enhanced by the desirability of the new and scarcely available steel model.5. The RED time zone hand has been removed from the new WG with blue dial version making the old version with black dial unique.Time will tell but I think current owners of the 116719BLRO should be rubbing their hands together.
