Ebel 9656J21-6486 wrist watches news:
In a case that could have wide-ranging implications for so-called “gray-market” goods, the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to decide whether manufacturers can use U.S. copyright law to prevent their foreign-made goods from appearing on web sites and store shelves at U.S. discounters such as Costco, Amazon, Target, and others. The case began in 2004 after Costco sold 43 Omega Seamasters for $1299, then about $700 below Omega’s MSRP. Omega originally sold the watches to authorized agents located outside the U.S. The agents sold the watches to unidentified parties who sold them to a U.S.-based company that sold them to Costco.Omega sued, claiming that Costco’s actions constituted copyright infringement. Omega claims copyright protection based on the fact that the “Omega Globe Design” logo engraved on the caseback is registered with the copyright office. Copyright law grants owners power to control the “first sale” of a protected work. After th
It is my firm conviction that each watch collection must have at least one classic diving watch. I am not just talking about a timepiece with a 100 meter or more water resistance, I am talking about that look, with the three link metal bracelet, rotating bezel, and large and bright hour indicator dial. In other words, a Rolex Submariner 'homage' watch. It is ok, there are few watches that deserve such an homage, the classic Rolex diving watch is one of them. Otherwise, if you don't have a watch of this ilk in your possession, you aren't only going to feel left out, but you'll be missing out on a phenomenon of watch ownership where one style of watch, really seems to fit perfectly in every occasion and for all purposes. To satisfy that end, you have literally hundreds of options, within a range of style, quality, and function. On the low end are $50 Casio watches that to an extent give you a taste of the look. On the high end are fine watch makers like Blancpain who can put even Rolex's

All, I would like to ask your assistance in pricing a watch I am helping my employer sell. The watch has been worn and used. Unfortunately the box, papers, manual have been discarded. I did have him pay for a certificate of authenticity from the AP Boutique on 57th St in Manhattan / NYC.The model number is 14790ST.OO.0789ST.09, E-series - Caliber 2225 36 Jewels, and described as Dark Blue Big TAP. AP 10 Index Dial, stainless steel case and bracelet with 11 links at 12h and 7 links at 6h - and no spare links, appears to be sized for 6.5 wrist. He has the travel case (or is it AP service case?) and the certificate of authenticity as well as the receipts from AP for the watch with serials for both the watch case and the movement noted. The watch has not been repolished, runs and keeps time properly, winds without issue. I don't know if it has been serviced or not so I'd guess not. I'm told he acquired the piece in the early 2000's.What would be a fair asking price for it? He believe
I read somewhere (likely here on TRF) that the red letters on the SD43 are going to be for the 1st year only. Is that true or is it merely a rumor?
