Hamilton Boulton - sub-second dial design query
Hello,Vintage Hamilton newbie here and loving every minute of it. I have recently procured the pictured Boulton and have a question with regards to the type of sub-second dial. You will note that the sub dial is of a rectangular design with every 10 seconds marked and is not sunk. The hand also extends backwards a little bit. I have never seen a Boulton with this style of sub second dial before (or find any on the internet) and was wondering if anybody can provide any history to this?Was this dial a limited production version or was it always available but not as popular as the circular sunken style? Personally I love the style and think it compliments the shape of the case nicely. It also provides a contrast to my other Boulton which has the more common sub second dial. The condition of this watch is nice overall and I managed to get hold of it at a reasonable price - lovely to wear. Any help or information as to its heritage would be much appreciated,Many Thanks,Rich.PS - apologies f

A productive trip!
Well, besides going to the Phillies parade I had an interesting day. I spent a few hours at Sam's shop photographing a complete service for a coming installment of the Horology 101 series (I know, it's a gratuitous promotion). I took my Maurice LaCroix with me to see what we could do about the crown digging into the back of my wrist. He didn't recommend changing it, but asked me a few questions about how I wore it. I showed him that it was too tight on one strap hole and didn't have enough play to let the crown move when I bent my wrist back, but too loose on the next and would roll around my wrist. So he grabbed a punch and put a hole between the two and shazam! it was perfect. There were some other pleasant distractions during our breaks like this UltraChron 36,000 bph Longines automatic and a nice Aqua Terra:I have some great photos, but so many it will take a week or two to edit them. Oh, and the city was PACKED with throngs of red clad fans! What a fun day!
