Moon watch help, a sentimental gift...
Hi, I just joined and could really use some help. My dad worked at NASA from about '66-69 and he's never had a really nice watch. For a variety of reasons, some personal and some sentimental and others time sensitive, I'd really like to buy him a moon watch from that era. A few questions:1. Any suggestions on reputable people and places to find and buy one?2. How much might each of the years from '65-70 cost in great shape at current market prices? 3. Is there an era or year in particular that I should look for based on quality, value, collectability, etc?Many thanks in advance, could really use some advice. R

Obsession??????
Well guys this is the second time that I make a question about this strange star like form hallmark in my Seamaster, thanks to JJ & Delldeaton who kindly reply to my post & PM. Anyways, for me is a very interesting mark. Ive been guessing that maybe if this is the only one with this mark its make a one of the kind watch, I dont think that this is a non factory hallmark because is to centralize and it looks the same size and deep as the serial # on the watch. I wonder if you guys could check your watches, just to see if they have something similar. I also send some e-mails to Omega but they dont answer, I imagine how much e-mails they receive daily asking stupid questions. Anyone of you know what can I do to investigate about this?? who and where to call?? I honestly dont know where to start. Hacking Panerai movements
Another silly question.......................Is it possible to hack the movement of a Panerai, specifically the P.9000 and P.2003, to stop the seconds hand at 12 o'clock?When setting my watches after a period of not wearing them, I like to set them to the exact time. Not a deal breaker but curious

Love the sport/professional models, BUT.......
I¡¯m an absolute Rolex fan, and love the brand for many reasons. I¡¯ve tried others, but other than a G-shock, it¡¯s all I have. Having said that, I¡¯m aggravated with the current situation. So I¡¯ve decided to sort of .....circumvent the current issues. I feel fortunate that I can go about it this way, but I¡¯m wondering if anyone else has had similar thoughts? I love the sport/professional models, but with the shortages, wait lists, case changes, recent rumors, etc.... I¡¯ve changed my way of thinking/buying (for now)So I¡¯m staying modern while avoiding all the things mentioned above...Meaning....a collection of.. PM DD 40, PM Daytona, SS Date-just. 2 oyster bracelet, 2 pres bracelet, 2 smooth bezel, 1 fluted, 1 sport bezel. Very happy not thinking about what case, lug size, bezel, etc...change is coming. So for now....loving the classic shapes, dials, colors, and ease of finding inventory! Love looking forward to the new releases, but simple modern/classic case & lug sizes are my go to
