Franck Muller 5850 wrist watches news:
When I bought this Waltham a few weeks ago I ran the serial number through the NAWCC Waltham Database and it stated that this 19007285 was a size 3/0s. I was VERY pleasantly surprised today when I opened the mail, this watch seemed bigger than a 3/0s. I quickly removed the two screws and took out the movement and it was a size 0s!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!! A solid gold 18k size 0s Dennison trench watch case! I honestly started skipping around the room. The case was rather scratched up so I buffed it out and now it looks superb! The movement is awesome, a 1913-1914 Riverside with 17 jewels, solid gold center wheel, solid gold raised jewel chantons and solid gold screws on the balance wheel. It's keeping spot on correct time so far. The dial is superb as well, a bold Roman numeral RED 12 with the European USA stamp just below the Waltham signature. The crown, stem and sleeve were damaged beyond repair so I replaced them with what you see now. Did not to wait for snail mail so I ordered
Hi all. I'm brand new to the forum. I have a question about battery replacement. I hope this hasn't been asked a million times before, but here goes. My Tissot watch needs a new battery. I took it to the nearest authorized dealer to get it replaced (a sales associated had previously told me they would do it for $13).Yesterday, when I brought them my watch, they said they would have to ship it to California, and it would cost over $60.Why can't/won't they replace the battery at the store? Should I be able to find a place to replace the battery locally?
The postman dropped this one off today. It's the Sinn UX EZM 2B Hydro which features a quartz chronometer movement. The case is filled with silicone oil to add to the depth rating, and the crystal has double AR. I love the Sinn U series bracelets! They have 1.5mm hex head screws that making sizing a breeze!
I have been looking at some vintage Omegas.I really like the simplisity of a leather watch.I noticed that most of the Omegas seamaster, deville or constelations on leather strap are all about 34mm.Do Omega make larger faces???Do you think thats too small? Please share your thought....
Hey All,I've been waiting for some time to get a 5711, but I wanted to buy it brand new vs pre-owned. I was offered one by my AD in December, but it wasn't a good time for me to bring a 5711 into the fold. After a recent discussion with my AD, they let me know that they received a 5712. I did some research and decided to stretch a bit to get into the 5712 vs the 5711. I currently own a 5167, so also felt the 5711 would be a bit of an overlap. No pics yet as I pick it up this weekend, but I would love to hear from current 5712 owners! How do you enjoy your 5712's? Anyone else want a 5711 and decide to stretch to the 5712 instead? Was it worth it for you? Would love to see your 5712's!! The wait is killing me, but I've waited quite some time to get a Nautilus, so two more sleeps won't kill me Thanks!!
