- This is a wonderful time piece. It's hard for me to believe there are a few complaints about seeing the time. I adore collecting watches. This has gone to the top 2 of a number much more than a few. Thank you Heidi and HSN.

Franck Muller 8880 C CC wrist watches news:
Every so often I go through the photobucket archives and, aside from being amazed at how many pictures of my watches I have taken over the years, I come across a few that make me remember one of the many reasons why I collect Rolex watches - heritage.I have posted this pic before, but it makes me appreciate that this watch has not changed all that much in appearance since the mid 1950s - yet it still feels and looks as stylish and cool now as it did then.At the dawn of the jet age the Boeing 707 first allowed humans to fly across multiple time zones in the blink of an eye and led Rolex to create the first (and only IMO) GMT watch - the 6542.My 16710 is just a descendant.-Ross
I have received the most fantastic birthday gift from my mother. My first ever 'real' watch. It was purchased as second-hand from a family friend who has been a watch dealer for over 30 years. I received the watch 'as is' without a box or any papers.Naturally, I would like to know a bit more about it. 1 ) What is the reference number for this watch? 2 ) What calibire does it use?3 ) What was its production year?4 ) How many were made?5 ) Is it a 'limited edition'?6 ) There is a small serial number on the rear of the watch (bottom left hand corner of the fourth image, blurred). Is there any problem in giving this out in public (i.e. on an image)?
This one's from 1975 (my birth year)! Have a great day everyone!
Hodinkee have just announced the price for this. $91,400. I think it's an absolutely beautiful piece but that price puts it far, far away from my reach. What does everyone think about this price ?This is around ?60,000. That's a Rose gold Daytona, DDII and ?10,000 change left over.
This is my dream Patek Philippe...contemporary looking with all the complications all without looking 'grandfatherly' and 'old'...truly an amazing watch. Unfortunately, I'd probably have to sell some land or a few cars to get me one of these, so the possibility of getting one is at best 'IMPOSSIBLE'..BUT, I can dream, can't I? I mean - when's the next Mega Millions Lottery? If I get this, I promise...I PROMISE!!! I won't buy another watch EVER EVER EVER!!! Let the drool session begin!!! Anyone else have their ULTIMATE ULTIMATE Patek Philippe? As the latest member of the Grand Complications family, the Ref. 5951 in platinum incorporates a split-seconds monopusher chronograph and perpetual calendar. The case that houses the new Patek Philippe CHR 27-525 PS Q caliber is cushion-shaped like the manufacture's first split-seconds chronograph that dates back to the 1920s.Reference: 5951P-001Movement: Mechanical Manual PP Caliber CHR 27-525 PS Q with 27 jewels, 21,600 vph, 2-arm Gyromax ba
