Jaeger LeCoultre xx wrist watches news:
The VCXO Ox One is a bold new concept from a young Geneva-based brand which offers a rather unique bond between GPS technology and mechanical movements. While the accuracy of?GPS-set quartz watches is universally?acknowledged, most watch enthusiasts will agree mechanical watches tend to have more soul, thanks to their?"beating heart," when?the same can scarcely be said about electronic watches. With the Ox One, VCXO tries to achieve the best of both worlds by offering a watch with an automatic mechanical movement?equipped with a GPS module on top, allowing for the?synchronization of the time?with data received through GPS technology.?That sounds like some proper space-age technology, so let's discover how it works exactly.Serving as the?foundation of the watch is a TT-738?automatic movement from Swiss?Technotime SA, an independent?supplier that produces complete movements, movement modules and even balance springs. The movement runs at 4 Hertz (28,800 beats per hour) and packs a full 5
I'll admit that when I saw that Frederique Constant was announcing a smart watch platform, I was dubious of what they might show. This has nothing to with FC specifically, I quite like the brand in fact, but more that a brand with a fairly classical approach to watch making, a brand without any tech to show, not even a digital watch in their current line up let alone anything with software, was delving into "smart territory" just seemed off. I thought to myself, how on Earth is this Swiss brand going to make something competitive, something more than a momentarily news worthy item that would quickly be overshadowed by Apple or just forgotten as a novelty (remember that Gilt Smart Watch?..), a misguided detour in territory they didn't belong.Well, what they presented was extremely surprising in many ways and ?intriguing; The MMT (Manufacture Modules Technologies) Swiss Horological Smartwatch platform… Which actually is a company as well as technology, but more on the former later.
:)I've seen the "ridged straps" on the X-33's and wondered if anyone knows what aftermarket (if any) are availableI would like to try something on my 2254, but not rubber.. maybe carbon fiber or black leather or crock grain.. who all makes them?thanks:):)diver88
Well she made it here today safe and sound. Better late than never I suppose. I didnt bother with a lume shot as there is hardly any lume to speak of anymore. I got as close up as I could on the shots. I only have a point and shoot and so I did the best I could. Some came out great IMO. It feels so nice upon my wrist. Without further ado..... Isn't she beautiful?
I've been looking into the time frame regarding the transition from the use of the warranty paper vs the warranty card. I can't seem to find a definite year or production serial number for when this occurred.I have found the D serial numbers with warranty papers but recently saw one with the warranty card. I haven't been able to find any other examples with D serial numbers that came with the warranty card. The D serial numbers seem to be circa 2005. The D serials were followed by the Z serial numbers. I have found examples of the Z serial numbers with either the warranty paper or warranty card - but again, not so with the D serial numbers. Any help would be appreciated. (Attaching photos with your response would be a big plus.)
