Great article on the history of APRP and the many talented watchmakers that have worked there. A watch (AP or maybe an RM) with a movement from APRP is my true Grail. ¡°APRP: Training Ground for the Exceptional¡± via watchvillehttps://api.watchville.co/v2/posts/20995/click
Went into the Omega store in Sydney today and was pleasantly surprised to see that all servicing is now done on site, rather than sent off to the Swatch service centre in Melbourne.Unfortunately though it seems that there is currently an 8 week wait on servicing.
I have a vintage Speedmaster. I'm not sure exactly how old, because I long ago misplaced the serial number, but it's got to be 30 years old if it's a day. Anyhow, it needs a complete overhaul. Also, when running the chronograph function, one press of the top pusher actuates the stopwatch function, and a second press resets the second needle to 12:00. The bottom pusher essentially does nothing. This is no doubt a result of it being dropped by a family member some years ago.My questions--What is a reasonable fee for the overhaul?-What is wrong with the movement, and can it be easily repaired? Thanks for your help!
