New Owner with question please
Hi, I am new to the forum and wonder if anyone can give me some advice please. I have just acquired my first Omega, A used Seamaster Pro model 2532.80.00. condition is very good. (Please excuse the photo which was taken on my phone and doesn't show the watch at it's best). My question relates to the age of the watch. I have the box and all papers, which shows the date of sale from Swatch group HQ Southampton is 2003 but the tag tells me that the movement is the 1109. I understood that Omega discontinued the 1109 in favor of the 1120 in 1998. Should I be concerned about the movement or the age discrepency? I don't know much about the 1109. Also having a S Steel bezel seems unusual. If anyone could give some background on this model I would be most grateful. I paid ¡ê850 for it and hope it was a fair price. By the way it keeps very good time, within 2 sec per day.Many thanks Steve

I am fairly new to the Longines brand, but after doing some research I fell in love with its rich history and am now hooked.I was recently at my local AD and tried on this guy (GrandeVitesse):According to the specs, it has a L667 movement. I thought I read somewhere that the L667 is a modified version of the Valijoux 7750. I asked the AD what modifications Longines made, but he wasn't sure. Could someone educate a newbie please? Does Longines actually do any in-house work on the L667? Also, the AD is supposed to call me sometime this week with a deal. He had originally mentinoned that Longines had a standard 18% discount. Does anyone know if this is accurate? Does Longines have a standard max discount? Thanks so much!

DJ 41 chipped/scratched bezel. Idea? Suggestion?
Hi all, tried to ask the question in some threads but no answer, so I thought I start my own thread. I'm thinking to let go my DJ 41, but several months ago I dropped it accidentally thus creating this deep scratched/chipped on the bezel, hopefully, you guys can all see it from these photos. Anyone know if this type of thing can be easily polished? Or should I purchase a new bezel to replace it and then sell it. Not sure how much original bezel from Rolex, but I notice aftermarket parts on eBay cost relatively $800-900 for WGAnother option is, the main reason I want to let it go is due to the really shiny bezel, it's a little bit 'loud' for me, I also saw a SS bezel replacement for DJ, thinking maybe I can get the SS bezel and just keep the DJ, after all, I bought the watch when my daughter turned 1. Any suggestions appreciated.
