Officina Del Tempo announces the Italian-designed and made Armatore Chrono series, featuring 42mm round cases crafted in high-grade stainless steel with polished and brushed finishing. Dials are either black or white with applied metal indexes. Dials feature red accents on the chronograph totalizers and on the fifteen-minute countdown indices. Armatore Chrono timepieces are powered by the Miyota OS20 quartz chronograph movement with date indication at 4:00. All watches feature unidirectional bezels in ocean blue or black, and are water resistant to 10ATM. Watches are marked “Made in Italy” and each bears a laser-engraved serial number. Watches are offered with either a black leather strap, a gel strap, or with a polished-and-brushed steel bracelet with deployant buckle.Officina Del Tempo backs their watches with a two-year warranty. My Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer is around ten or twelve years old. I wear it nearly every day. The bracelet - the nine part one - shows this. The last repairman who last serviced the watch buffed the bracelet some, and it is probably an improvement over battered and scratched, but after that buffing the contrast between the high polished segments and the parts that were brush finished is just about gone. The whole thing is a brushed finish (more or less) now.I assume to restore it to like new glory, the bracelet would have to be disassembled and re-polished. I understand taking a Seamaster bracelet apart is a pain in the neck. Is there another way to do the job? I have no tools, and while I am handy with small items, I don't think I want to take the bracelet apart if it is as tricky as I have heard. Is there anyone who can restore it? How much would it cost? Thanks.
I have been bit by the Panerai bugI picked up a 231 back in July and it quickly became my favorite. I have since begun doing some research and have found my next potential conquests. I have been longing to add a GMT to my collection and I have narrowed it down to PAM88 or PAM89! Now to decide on the finish!THE PAM 88orTHE PAM 89I love both models. I¡¯m leaning toward the SS, but also like the look of the Titanium. I currently don't own any Titanium watches, and do realize that 89's are rare. This is also very enticing, but the main reason I wanted to add another Panerai is because I love the versatility. With some many straps available it¡¯s like wearing a new watch each time you swap out the bracelet! Now since I¡¯m new to this, I wanted to cover all the bases. I have checked the various sites out there and found the straps that I liked. I noticed that most straps come with SS buckles. This would be a problem if I went with the 89. Maybe I making my mind up for myself, but I wo
My greatest hobby and interest in life is sailing. This is why for my next birthday (and it is an important one!) I would like to purchase a watch from a brand that is strongly connected to sailing or nautical activities. The only other feature about the watch that is a must is a large face :).So far I have found and absolutely love the Hublot Big Bang, however it costs over double of what I'd like to spend...So what ideas have you got that may fit into my above criteria :)?
In a recent thread, a fellow TRF member said he had a dial color swap on his 5205. I might be interested in doing the same for a 5205 that I plan to purchase. Since Patek would not change the certificate after a dial swap, do you believe this would impact the value of the watch in any way? As the dial swap would be performed by Patek itself, I believe the value of the watch should not be affected, but I wonder what your views are.
