Festina Profundo Dive Watch Comes In Bag Filled With Water
There is marketing and then there is brilliant marketing. Go shopping for watches and you may find yourself discovering a new goldfish bowl. The large Spanish watch group Festina (and brand of course) has recently started putting water-filled clear plastic bags on shelves with the newest versions of their Profudno dive watches in them. This isn't the first time a watchmaker has put a water resistant watch actually in water, but as far as we know it has never before been done like this. The brilliant concept is thanks to a Berlin-based agency called Scholz & Friends."Profundo" translates from Spanish into "deep." While these watches aren't deep under water, the message here is that they can stay in water for apparently very long lengths of time and be perfectly OK to be removed from the bag and be put on your wrist. This is a more "simple" Jaquet Droz watch with an annual calendar and a quirky moon phase indicator. Called the "Eclipse," it comes in a 18k gold case and a nice black enamel dial. Nice? Sure. Kobold Soarway GMT Avantgarde Watch
Why just 25 pieces Kobold? I mean this watch is really quite nice. While I appreciate the "Avantgarde" designation, this watch isn't that weird. I could easily see myself wearing it daily. I wonder what other styles of straps it would well on? Well for just 25 pieces, they are pricey. Is that Kobold's way of recouping the development cost for the piece? Well, I will tell you what you need to know, and then you can decide whether it is too expensive. Either way, very pretty timepiece.The most avant garde aspect of this Soarway GMT is the bezel. The uni-directional diver's bezel has but one indicator on it. At the top, with a lume dot and a black ring around the "eye" just like "Alex" in A Clockwork Orange. Plus the whole bezel with its notches (like eyelashes) and the dial color contrast reminds me of this iconic "man with single eye in drag" look. Thoughts about OMEGA Seamaster Professional 200M (Pre-Bond)
Hey guys!Yesterday I was doing a little trip around local antique shops and after few hours of walking around them I saw one watch which really attracted me. That was Omega Seamaster Professional 200M Quartz Pre-bond model. Because of that I am asking you, guys, what do you think about this watch? Maybe someone has some beautiful photos of it? The price of it was 400 pounds (~650$). Should I buy it or should I not(You know, sometimes it's really hard to make a decision like that )? Waiting for advice,Mantas

I have an 8 year old Speedy Pro that loses serious time when the chrono is running. Can anyone recommend a watchmaker in the US that can service this for less time and money than Omega?
