Girard Perregaux 8020 011 wrist watches news:
Is the newest version of the Daytona bracelet/clasp ref.no. 78590 with Oysterclasp and easylink? Just bought a white116520 for my wife. V ¨C series 559 xxx but the date code on the clasp says September 2007 (EO9). Never had a Rolex with approx two years gab between watch and bracelet! Thanks

Hey all, So I just put down money on a vintage 1950's Oysterdate Rolex with cyclops. I have long been a major watch fanatic and collector but this is my first luxury watch, with all the rest only being in the $250-$500 range. Though I LOVE watches and constantly research and try to learn as much as I can about them, I'm still just a beginner and would love some advice, feedback, opinions if its real, etc. I bought it from a small watch shop here in the city that I live in. They were asking $1,500.00 for the piece, which I put $200 down and plan to have fully paid off by my 30th Birthday next month. I guess I'm just paranoid a bit and want to make sure it's a real rolex and a good value and I'm getting my monies worth. I only make about $40k a year, so I'm no high roller or anything about $1,500.00 is a lot of money to me. Thanks guys, and hope to hear some feedback soon!
Titanic Swiss Watches Called 'Tacky'The Belfast Titanic Society has called for a halt to the production of limited edition Swiss watches made from parts of the famous ship. Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome is planning on producing watches composed in part from metal and coal found in the hull of the ship for as much as $200,000 a piece.
I've been wearing a Timex for a couple months and my next door neighbor and I have been discussing Rolexes. He knew I was treating myself to a Hulk for Christmas(pre owned). Before Christmas he would look at my wrist and ask what I was wearing ever day. I told him it was for Christmas, so it was arapped and under the Tree. On Christmas he got to see the Green Machine up close and personal. Today he wanted a look, so he said What you wearing'. I removed my watch and handed it to him. His eyes bugged out as he was looking at my GMT II daily wearer. He crapped ! The Green Monster is just so beautiful I knew I could not wear it every day. For years I have collected items we are not allowed to mention on this Forum, so I sold some to come up with extra cash. My AD just made me a wonerful deal onthe GMT II so I went for it.
