Breitling A49350L2/G699-leather-brown-tang wrist watches news:
This strange LeCoultre LED is sold for $1650 , based on the camp and the retro and simple scarcity factor seems appropriate, although the Tiffany LED that we mentioned above is still for sale price hundreds less. In any event, is Jaeger LeCoultre Master - Quartz LED from the beginning of the 1970s is an addition strange, unique in the history of the MLC.
I had a meeting at The British Museum, their Horology department has some 8000 watches but ONLY about 800 on permanent display. One of the watches on 'permanent display' is a Hamilton 1943 used in Maratime navigation, therefore needing the greatest accuracy.,see pictures below. Its worth mentioning that The British Museum has some of the greatest collections from all over the world, like the Rosetta Stone, the 'Elgin marbles (Parthenon sculptures)' the Lewis Chessmen and the Collossal bust of Ramesses the Great.so the Hamilton their is a great honour to American Horology:enjoyadam
Hi WTF folks,Sorry if it's been covered, but I could not find an answer to this basic question using the search engines: should you even wind/wear a vintage "find" before having it serviced? Without knowing a watch's service history (say you haven't popped the back yet) would you even try winding a vintage watch up all the way to see how it keeps time? Is this too risky? Background: I'm pretty new on WTF. I somehow got the bug for learning how watches and clocks function. I don't really like wearing watches that much but I am fascinated by their mechanical works.I ask the above question because my wife noticed my new hobby and hinted that she might like a gold watch with diamonds. Nice, eh! After getting a good idea of what she would like I picked up an old Bulova 14K white gold cocktail watch with small diamonds. I only gave it a little wind to see if it would work. And it winds, it ticks, and it runs. I did not give it even a full twist. And I'm not daring enough to try to se

Some days are different than others...Today mark the day where my beloved AP15300 left me for a new home. 2 Weeks ago, the same happened to my 116520 black dial. The only one left is the sub date but I don't think I will hold to it really much longer.I spent some good time at my AD on different occasions lately. I found myself wearing a nautilus... I don't know much about what is happening but I kinda got the PP disease. I was hypnotized by the 5711 and I hear it all the time saying my name throughout day and night. Is this just a temporary situation or it tend to stay and the only way out is to break the seal opened ?Help me find a relief, or did I do something wrong by letting these go
