The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve is the Swiss watch making industry's award night (though not all the nominees are Swiss brands) celebrating and awarding the previous year's most interesting watches in a few categories. The awards are slanted to high-end timepieces, but there is a category for timepieces that are more entry level at just a few thousand dollars.The Grand Prix categories are: best men's watch, best ladies watch, best design concept watch, best jewelery watch, best complicated watch, best sport watch, and a category called "Best Small Hand" which I believe is for the best watch under a certain price.Check out the list of nominees here, and please to comment with your personal picks for the best watches below. A Visit to AP Service Centre in Singapore (*Heavy pics content*)
It was a cool drizzling Monday morning as I pulled my vehicle into a spacious car park located at a tranquil site off the busy Orchard Road. I was privileged to be invited to a private workshop tour at APSC to take a glimpse of the behind-the-scene actions of my favorite watch brand. To NO surprise, I would summarize upfront that this experience was typically excellent, a well-rendered hospitality one would expect from a top luxury brand. Of course, I'm full of confidence in the technical competency and quality of the watchmaking team after the tour. With its tranquil location and contemporary layout, APSC presents a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. There are many Royal Oak inspired decorations around, which signifies the importance of RO to AP. Thomas Rubi, the Regional Customer Service Manager, was my tour guide of the day. Together with Maarten, the watchmaker trainer, they showed me around the workshop enthusiastically, explaining key processes involved in servicin

INCOMING!!! New Speedy Sapphire Sandwich AND Mitsukoshi Conversion
Hi guys,I bought a new speedy pro sapphire sandwich a month or two ago purely to convert to the Mitsukoshi dial. Well, I managed to source the dial and hands, I dropped the watch off yesterday to have the dial installed, and just picked it up. I must say, the watch is stunning, my favorite iteration of the Speedmaster!!First, Speedy Pro coming out of the box:On the wrist:And the Mitsukoshi dial on the watch as I walk down 6th Ave after picking it up!!
