The glass is so thick I could not read the time. The numbers should also be darker.It looked cheap and the band seemed flimsy I was afraid it would break. Definitely not as nice as on TV . I got the ivory. I am returning.

Vintage Pocket Watch Questions
My father bought this watch in the '40's and I've had it for the last 35 years or so. It's a steel cased watch about 43 cm diameter. I've kept it in a box and only looked at it occasionally, never carried or used it. A few weeks ago I pulled it out and popped open the case. It's got a 1941 serial number (616XXXX) and the inscription "15 Jewels 5 Adj." on the movement. It also has the inscriptions "21486" and "162" stamped on the inside of the case back. Also stamped are the numbers "62" and "2".Does anyone know what these numbers stamped on the case mean?Thanks.

Atlanta GTG July 30
An Atlanta GTG has been scheduled for Saturday, July 30th, at Pappasito's Cantina at 2788 Windy Hill Road at 1pm. This is the venue of our last GTG and it is just great as we have a good place to sit together and the food is fantastic! I hope that a lot of you in the area, or beyond, will be free to join us. Speedy Chrono Reset Issue
Hi guys, I have a year old speedy pro and two times in the last day when I reset the chrono, the 6 o'clock counter does not reset to zero. The first time this happened the reset was about four minutes ahead of zero, but it reset to zero upon restarting the chrono and resetting again. The second time the reset brought it to about three minutes before zero, and a restart and reset did not immediately fix it, I had to run the chrono for a half hour or so and then reset to get it to zero. Anybody ever gave a similar experience? I have voided my warranty (dial conversion), so I'd rather not service it unless I know there is a problem. Thanks in advance!!

I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.So I will make this story as short as possible.I hunted and purchased a brand new 5711 from a guy (now my good friend) in Singapore about 1.5 years ago.I love everything about the 5711, and that was why I decided to see if I would have a chance to get one with my name on the papers.I am primarily a vintage collector, and I would have loved for my few(and my favourite) modern watches to have my name on the papers as sentimental value when being passed down.Not a deal breaker, but it did not hurt to put my name down assuming I would never get called.Fast forward a long time later, I got the call.I had to pursue. The watch is purchased from my home town, and has my name on it.
