When Do You Think Omega Will Redesign the Bond Seamaster Line?
The Bond Seamaster line is getting pretty old now, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Omega introduced it sometime in the early '90's. At this year's Basel, Omega did a redesign of the Aqua Terra line, and it looks like the Speedmaster is moving towards a larger case size. When do you think it will redo the Bond line and maybe make a differnet bracelet, dial, case, or bezel?

FH Swiss watch exports report Growth remains strong August 04, 2008 In line with results in previous months, watch exports registered growth of 13.4% in June, totalling 1.6 billion francs. This considerable increase was achieved despite a very unfavourable base effect. In the first half of the year, Swiss watch manufacturers exported the equivalent of 8.3 billion francs, or 14.9% more than in January-June 2007. The annualised variation was above 15% for the eighth consecutive month at +15.8%. Growth was steady in the first months of the year, with the exception of March, the victim of an unfavourable base effect and three fewer working days. However the variation of the moving average over twelve months has not fallen from peak levels. Asia has become the engine of growth, while more traditional markets have experienced a slowdown. I thought that some of you might want to know somewhat more about China's horological history.China is most likely the oldest civilisation which has survived to our days.As in most early civilisations time was measured by following the movement of the sun. The Chinese developed the first accurate sand clocks and above all water clocks. As in most ancient cultures time was measured predominantly for astrological and astronomical reasons. The goal was to be able to tell exactly when a rite had to take place for instance.The Chinese were masters in mathematics and in astronomy. By about the year 1000 they had developed many different ways of measuring time fairly accurately. In 1086, one of their most famous astronomers, Su Song, started the construction of his astronomical clock tower. It was in its times what the atomic clock is to our days. Su Song incorporated in his clock tower the first known escapement mechanism. This was a full 600 years earlier than in Europe!By the 14th century
