Girard Perregaux 08046 DOB51.11M7 wrist watches news:
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their legendary caliber 12P, the world¡¯s thinnest mechanical self-winding movement at that time, Piaget introduces Caliber 1200P, today¡¯s thinnest automatic movement at 2.35mm. The new movement is housed in new limited and unlimited Altiplano models, which at 5.25mm are the thinnest automatic watches on the market today. The Altiplano with Calibre 1200P includes an unlimited version with subsidiary seconds, and a special Anniversary Edition with hour and minute hands only. Both models measure 43mm in diameter and both have multi-level dials and a very clean, modern look. The Anniversary Edition offers a platinum rotor, compared with 22-carat gold in the unlimited models. The Anniversary Edition also features a discrete inscription on the outer edge of the dial, which is adorned with hand guilloch¨¦.For the past 50 years, Piaget has been a pioneer and leader in the field of ultra-thin movements. In 1957, Piaget developed Calibre 9P, the world¡¯s thinne
On June 14th, 2013 (very soon) at the IWC Boutique at the South Coast Plaza mall in Costa Mesa, CA, I will be hosting a "Meet The Watchmaker" Event with IWC where you can come view IWC watches, speak with me, and of course meet a watchmaker from IWC's manufacture in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.Sorry about the last minute notice but IWC and myself would be thrilled to have you there for drinks, horology, and good conversation. There will of course be food and libations. The event is in the IWC boutique itself and will start at about 7pm and end at 9pm. You are invited
We returned home to Japan a few days ago and though I've remained on vacation, I haven't had much time to prepare any sort of trip report; but I woke up at 3 am this morning (jet lag), so here are a few photos. We were using the video camera most of the time; so we really didn't get many photos. I managed to visit a few ADs and one of my favorite "grey market" dealers in Portland. I repeatedly heard from the ADs (consider the source) that the Sub LV will be discontinued soon; with one AD adding confidently that the production run for anniversary models is only 5 years. In one large AD in Portland, the first thing the gentleman behind the counter told me as I entered the store was that it marked the first time he had ever seen anyone in real life wearing the particular 116528 I was wearing. I started to say; "you should get out more;" but then I realized I probably haven't seen another one either; though I did see the same watch with the exact opposite dial configuration (champagne wit

HI, prior to the Christmas Holidays I posted a thread about the suitability as a Day Date as a daily wear. Inspired by the talking watches video with Jack Nickalaus I wanted to give it a try. I was asked by a few posters to report back after a month or so. So this is what I have learned.Firstly I have been wearing my 18238 about 95% of the time since before Christmas. I usually wear my Sub C on casual Fridays at work (but have worn the DD as well) and my Bluesy here and there. Over the last three months the DD has held up well. I have noticed no more scratches or marks then when I started. The big thing I have learned is that 36mm is supremely comfortable on my 7.25in wrist. I am seriously considering adding back a 116234 to my collection. The other thing I learned is, that as much as I could absolutely have the DD as a one and only, I really appreciate and enjoy having the options of the Subs. I am very fortunate to be in this position. Quite frankly I think the DD and the 114060 could
