Keeping my GMT l C Spiffy
I use my Dremmel to keep the inside links scratch free.I use polishing compound with the buffing wheel to get the scratches out and then wash the watch to get the goo off.Then use a new buffer wheel to shine the watch up.Works good for me. Recommend a $34 Drummel, has so many uses in the home.D

Overhaul Question
Hey all, I've got a buddy who has a 2264.50 whose battery just died. He sent it in to his jeweler to have the battery replaced and they suggested he have it overhauled. I'm familiar with the need to overhaul automatic or manual watches (I've to a 2254.50 and a 3570.50) but I don't know what is involved in overhauling a quartz watch, besides replacing the seals. Could anyone give me some advice as to what needs to be done, how often it should be done (his watch is around 5 years old) and how much is reasonable to pay an independent jeweler?Thanks!

Does anybody have any pictures or links to images of the inner workings of automatic Hamiltons? I can kind of glimpse the insides through the case back on my Frogman, but I am really curious to see an exploded diagram or something to that effect. Any information would be very apprectiated!

AP 15400 + Rolex SubC towards an Aqua 5167/1A -- what are your ideas about, please ?
Big, Big doubt I know, most of you guys would go towards Patek with no blinking .... but I need some of your thoughts on this subject I was offered the trade of my AP 15400, pic below, and a BNIB Rolex Sub C that I am about to pick up at AD, towards a BNIB Aquanaut 5167/1A .I am considering to finally REFUSE this trade .On my newbie opinion, there's not too much advantage trading a watch like that AP towards Aquanaut -- in my opinion, watches that are apparently on similar level , and still throw in a BNIB SubC..... Is my idea wrong?Hearing your ideas that could show me otherwise is very important just now !The Aqua available is on bracelet, the cash difference towards them is very low, and the look of Aqua in bracelet is quite nice IMHO -- which has surprised me, given all preferences here is for the rubber strap version .
