As the proud new owner of a new Sub LV I am aware of how iconic and popular the Sub range is.However it seems that there are as many schools of thought on which one is the "True classic" or "The one to have" as there are Omega special editionsSo I thought I'd see what you guys really thought about thyese watches and which one (lets assume you would have one of them, otherwise you'd not be taking part!) you'd go for and as important...WHY?The non date Sub?The 16610 date Sub?The 16600 Sea Dweller?The Sub LV?Is the non date to "Basic" for you?Is the Sub date to "Common"Is the SD too tool like and the date too hard to read?Is the LV too much of an aquired taste and too limiting with it's green?In the words of Highlander "There can be only one".if that were the case which one would it be for YOU?All your reasons would be valid i.e value/re-sale, design, wearability, legibility, reliability etc.....And of course....pics...pics....PICSTarty.

Looking for 30 minute video featuring London Watch Dealer
In the not to distant past, someone posted a link to a video program (documentary) about 30 mins in length, featuring a London Watch Dealer and how he obtains particularly rare watches for his high end clients. Well, I thought I had copied the link to view at a later date, but now I cannot seem to find it and my Google searches are not being productive. I believe his last name begins with a "B" perhaps BOLT or BOLD. I remember his car as having a customized license plate with his last name on it during one of the teaser shots on the introduction to the story. If anyone remembers this post or has a link to this informative luxury watch story I would really appreciate if they could post it here on the forum. The Explorer II Enigma
I know this has been discussed before, but I thought it might be interesting to revisit.Of all the SS Sport Rollies out there, the Explorer II (and Explorer, but the focus of this thread is on the II), particularly the black dial, seems to be the least desirable, and hence has the lowest resale value. I bought my slightly used one from my AD at a significant discount from MSRP, and it's fairly common to get TT like discounts on these, which differs from all the other SS Sporties. We see Explorer II's languish in AD's cases and on our For Sale page, often being discounted several times before they sell or are pulled.The watch is essentially the same as the legacy GMT II's, minus the rotating bezel. It has a sleek and unique profile not seen on other non-Rolex watches, except the Invicta's Rolex-inspired models. It's comfort is among the best of Sports Rollies, and it has the added complication of the 24H hand.I'd like to see a discussion about TRFers thoughts on why the Explorer II'
