Glashutte 10001040204 wrist watches news:
Perhaps there is not too much classic about it save for the fact that it uses an ETA Valjoux 7750 movement. Temption is a supreme German watch maker, not a marketing agency right? So we can forgive the odd name and focus on the beautiful watch. Here is a PVD black with yellow trim model, one of the rarer versions of an already rare watch (only 200 of these yellow models were ever made). Temption produces no more than about 700 watches a year, and all owners are lucky to have them. Temption watches are classic to the extent their designs seem timeless. Focusing on Bauhaus minimalism, it isn't quite the stark emptiness you get from traditional minimalist design, but rather focuses more on pure functionality taking symmetry and aesthetics into consideration. The Valjoux 7750 movement inside this Temption Classic Chronograph is perhaps the finest function dedicated movement produced. What I mean is that it focuses on being a 12 hour chronograph, and performs that functions almost flawlessly,
here are some watches that I'm sending out to be fixed/refurbished. I can't wait do the before and after shots when they come back.A couple of lady's watches. Thank you to the antiquevintagewatches/ for the information in my research.Hamilton Fay (Its funny because i scoured the site to find its identity, but then all I had to do was just look inside the case ) This next one I couldn't identify the name (if there actually is one) of the watch. Here is another unidentified lady's. Its still on its way (hence the low quality photo). Here are a couple of mens watches from the electronic bay of auction too. This was identified before as the Wilshire (thanks to VintageHamiltons again).Lastly an automatic:
I bought a Baume and Mercier 8786 from the gray market. The watch works fine and keeps time perfectly. Watch was purchased about 2 months ago. No issues with the watch mechanically. I have an aesthetics question about the watch. After a while of looking at the various parts of the watch more carefully, I started to notice something I hadn't seen before. It seems that it's not uncommon for some watches to have a plastic white ring tracing the outer edge of the inside of the watch's face. Not sure what purpose it serves? I assume possibly water resistance or a ledge for the front crystal to rest on. Nevertheless, I noticed in this watch that there is some black residue between that white plastic ring and the crystal. It can be seen with the naked eye if you were trying to find it. But I used a magnifying glass to get a better look and it appears to be some lubricant or grease. I'm not really sure what it is? That's why I am posting here with photos in the hopes that some of
I ask this because lately I have been very interested in chronographs offered by Seiko and TAG.the 8R28 in particular from Seiko and the Caliber 1887 from TAG.I like the TAG Carrera with the new column wheel movement. I know is based on the 6S37 from Seiko.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Currently at a little less as I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and just got out of a brace for 4 week where my arm did nothing at all, so my wrist size has atrophied.Work in casual environments, suit up rarely, always wear shirtsleeves rolled up (for size/thickness consideration)Style-wise, I tend toward refined casual classics-- very little black, mostly classic menswear colors of navy, white, grey, olive, burgundy, and various shades of blue. Live in Southern California. Typical cool-weather look is well-fitted/tapered jeans, Alden shell cordovan shoes, OCBD in blue/white. Warm weather, swap shorts for jeans and Quoddy bluchers for heavy Alden shoes.Current Watch CollectionRolex SubC, No Date (40mm)Orient Polaris GMT (executive/semi-dress, white face/blue hands, currently on a Staib heavy mesh) (42mm)Deep Blue Master 1000 Automatic, blue
