Swiss Racing Driver Fredy Barth Joins Carl F. Bucherer as an Ambassador
2010 is proving to be a very successful season for Swiss racing driver Fredy Barth. Barth drives in the World Touring Car Championship. At age 16, Barth was told that he was too old to take up racing. Most promising young drivers have years of karting experience under their belts by that age. Fredy did not let the negative advice deter him. Then at age 18, he was diagnosed with lymph node cancer, and again he did not let bad news stand in his way. Barth’s fascination with motorsports motivated him as he traveled the road to recovery. Since beating cancer, Barth has zoomed ahead. In 2000 he won the Winfield World Challenge. In 2005 he founded his own company. Today at age 30, he is one of the world¡¯s best racing drivers, a much sought-after racing instructor, and he has a strong charitable commitment, working for many years with the ¡°Child and Cancer ¨C Swiss Research Foundation¡±.Fredy likes to show people through his actions that it is never too late to begin pursing their dreams.

Swatch D'Schwizer Watch Epitomizes Swiss Humor
 For a country so known for conservatism, the Swatch D'Schwizer timepiece is a rare public display of Swiss humor. Page 1 of the 2012 Swatch Group annual investor report is humorously decorated with satirical versions of each of the 26 Swiss cantonal coat of arms (you can see the official Switzerland canton coat of arms list here on Wikipedia). These clever and actually funny satirical images have found themselves on a new limited edition Swatch timepiece called the D'Schwizer.Given the insular nature of Swiss humor, the Swatch D'Schizer is a limited edition (not sure how many pieces) piece exclusively for the Swiss market. Though thanks to the wonder that is the internet, you can probably find them outside of Switzerland as well. Swiss humor has never translated very well for me. They mostly share it among themselves, and us Americans who travel there like to comment on that element of their culture. The Oyster and a Seiko
Hey guys,I have been away for a while. I took 3 weeks holiday and spend 2 weeks touring New Zealand recently with my wife. We were celebrating our 26th anniversary. We traveled both the North and South Island and got to see much of the beautiful 'Land of the Long White Cloud'. My travel itinerary was fly into Auckland, spend a few days on the North visiting the Bays, Beaches, Hobbiton and Lake Roturoa. From there we'd fly to Christchurch, rent a campervan and drive around the whole South. We managed to do most except for Lake Roturoa which was cancelled due to bad weather.Lot's of beautiful photos but I should start with my Seiko, low tide at Sandspit bay, collecting Oysters. LOL! Is your dive watch REALLY so tough?
So you just received that totally macho hunk of stainless steel which you've lusted after for months or even years. It's the coolest dive watch ever. This thing has got to be the sturdiest piece of horological testosterone ever made! You're thinking "Chicks will instantly dig me". 175th Anniversary Collection Book
Got a call this morning from my Patek AD to come and pick up my copy of the new anniversary collection book. It's quite a substantial hardback. Looking forward to having a good read this Sunday. :)
