Hamilton H77626153 wrist watches news:
Zenith is best known these days for chronograph watches powered by the high-frequency El Primero chronograph movement, which it introduced in the milestone horological year of 1969. However, one would have to go further back to discover that the brand also boasts a history of developing precision timekeeping instruments for aviation. In fact, French pilot Louis Bl¨¦riot was wearing a Zenith when he crossed the English Channel in his aircraft, the Bl¨¦riot XI, in July 1909. By 1939, the company’s Montre Aeronef Zenith Type 20 watch had become standard equipment on the dashboards of many French planes. It is timepieces such as these that inspired Zenith’s Pilot collection, which has become a major pillar for the brand since its launch back in 2012. Here’s a look back at one of the first, and still most distinctive, Zenith Pilot models, the Pilot Doublematic, which includes a world-time indicator and a mechanical alarm function. The first disk, on the flange of the dial, be
Hi Omega Forum Members. As some of you will recognise I have been looking at acquiring a vintage Omega. Well that all changed after a recent visit to an Omega flagship store here in Sydney. I had just sold my Rolex 16610 to a dealer and thought about replacing it with a new Seamaster Planet Ocean but got a shock when I saw the price here being $5,100 Australian. I just can't spend that after receiving $1k less for the 2nd hand Rolex.Looking on the web shows that the watch is readily available around the world for roughly $3,500 Aussie, a heck of a discountProblem is that Omega won't recognise any warranty from these sellers (Am**on and the like). What's your op? Is it too risky to buy without a usable warranty or is the quality high enough to take the risk. The Aussie store includes a free service and replacement strap (rubber strap model) btw.
My friend doesn't know what to ask, and I don't know what to offer
I have been considering adding a Speedmaster to my stable for quite a while now. After all, it's a classic, and unquestionably one of the best chronographs ever made. Finally decided to pull the trigger on one, and it arrived to me today. It's second-hand. , but I love it![IMG]img.tapatalk/d/14/01/10/hamy9enu.jpg[/IMG145.022-68 caliber 861 came with the original 1039 bracelet, but is on a 1117 at the moment.
I've asked this on another forum, but currently own a 44mm Panerai 359. Love some of the 47mm's, but not sure if it's right for me. I've tried them on the past and I always thought that the 47's look too big, but each year I go back to wanting one. Does the size grow on you, or is it just me forcing myself into a watch that's too big? What are some of your own experiences between the 2 sizes? My wrist is about 6.75. Thanks!
