Heard a little rumor today about Rolex USA
I'm just wondering if anyone is hearing the same thing.Rumor has it that Rolex USA President Allen Brill is on his way out. Rolex is saying officially that sales are only off by about 4%, but rumor has it that sales are actually off by double digits. The board is looking for a fresh young face to head up RUSA - the most important market for Rolex. Someone who won't shove watches down the throats of AD's, then turn around and penalize them for selling watches "out the back door."All this is of course completely unconfirmed rumor....anyone hearing anything along these lines?

What do you guys think of Citizens BM7080 watch for the price?Does anyone have it here?At the moment this all I can pay for an everyday watch. I like the fact that its titanium with a sapphire crystal and the simple look of it.Or is there a better watch in the same price range with the same features?

Well, I've just about done it!! My quest to go down to just two watches has finally come to a conclusion! Tired of buying and flipping, it does feel rather liberating and I think I can finally spend a bit less time messing around with watch research and a bit more time on the things in life that actually matter! Now my two wearers are in place I think from now on I'll stick to buying the odd lower priced piece, just to have something to play with and photograph. So here they are. 116613 LB v. LN v. 114060 as an "all purpose" watch
Hi all,As background, I am an attorney who wears a suit 4-5 days a week and currently own the following luxury watches:1980s DateJust with a Jubilee dial on a black leather strap. I wear this with black dress shoes. IWC Regulateur on a brown leather strap. I wear this with brown dress shoes. I would like to add a third all purpose watch -- a watch I could wear for weekends, travel, and with a suit. Here are my thoughts on each of the three I listed above. 116613 LB: This may be my favorite looking Rolex. The issue, however, is I think it would look best with brown shoes, and I already gravitate towards my IWC when I wear brown shoes. 116613 LN: I also really like the look of this watch, and it is a bit more versatile than the LB. I do worry, however, that the two tone with the black dial would be a bit too formal for casual wear.114060: I am a huge fan of the no-date's symmetrical dial.
