Daytona SS - REAL-LIFE availability...
Folks,A lot of threads appear here and on other forums speaking of how US AD's are getting quantities of SS Daytonas through at the moment and they are relatively 'easy' to get. In the UK we still cannot get them for ages or without paying large premiums over MSRP from Grey Dealers...meaning that real enthusiasts cannot buy them for market price. Obviously Rolex are capitalising on this with never-ending price hikes!I am travelling to New York next month for a long weekend and my question is: Does anyone know of any AD's there that actually have or can get SS Daytonas for sale at MSRP....????Thanx!ETA: Just to add that when I search the NY Grey Dealers, they're all selling SS Daytonas at around $1,000 over MSRP......

To tell you the truth, I have been getting mixed reviews every time i show it to someone.Some say its real, some term it fake. I even took it to 3 watchmakers in my city, one of them being a very reputable watchmaker said "its original, its at least 60yrs old, the movements in those days were not numbered, needs servicing"Other one says "the dial is fake the movement is definitely fake only the back plate seems to be genuine".Have a look & tell me what you guys think of it, i had posted this link below on another site but there was no helpful response.Look forward to your replies.Best Regards,Behruz

Back hacking
So i was watching some reviews on youtube the other day and came across something that seems to be about half plausible. Some one doing a review on an automatic watch claimed that there was such thing as back hacking. I know that it works, like both my non hacking auto's, (orange monster and my Bulova) if you apply a little bit of force turning the hands backwards the second hand will stop. It will even move backwards sometimes. YIKES. haha However, every other review i saw that included this said it was bad, but this guy seemed to think that the movement was designed to do this. My question is, is this bad for the watch and this guy's just making stuff up, or is there actually any such thing as "back hacking".
