- This is more than a watch,it is now my every day watch it is easy to use just out of the box. You can go to the web site to down load the manuel in a full page form so you can read it easer. Good looking and very light. If you need to adjust the watch band be careful and do it over a towel to catch the pin keeper it is easy to take out links and think of purchasing the per tools the cost will pay off the first time you use it. I had it set to my time zone and set my location in less than 10 min.Easy to read seems to be accurate and at night turn your wrist toward you and it will light up for several seconds then turns off to save power. It will go to sleep mode when not being used at night. Compass is accurate ,Barometer helps to see weather changes.

Hublot 341.PR.2010.LR.1913 wrist watches news:
The escapement is a fascinating and very important horological invention. While its function can seem complex, it can be better understood through a simple experiment: imagine you have a coiled spring in your hand. Compress it with your other hand and quickly release it. All of the spring’s energy is released immediately without control. Now repeat the experiment. This time use a finger to let one coil of the spring release at a time. Energy is being released in a controlled manner and your finger is acting as an escapement. New manufacturing techniques and materials have opened up intriguing possibilities for escapement development. Examining the development of the escapement gives us a deeper understanding of horological history. In a watch, the escapement distributes a small amount of energy from the mainspring. The mainspring is a large spring that is given power when you wind the watch’s crown, or by an automatic winding system. Note that the mainspring i
Hi , I am total newbie here. To start, I was just thinking of buying a new watch in $500 range and decided to stop by and chat with a local watchmaker here in Vancouver, Canada. After conversation got going, he asked me if I would be interested in a couple of vintage Omega watches he was selling personally. I know nothing about vintage Omegas and would really appreciate any advice, value suggestions, or any other helpful information. Here is what he is offering:1) Omega Geneve automatic with date, circa ?68-?69. Caliber 565, 24 jewels, serial #28XXXXXX, case #166.041 He will replace crystal since the one right now is not the right one, he will put new crown, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking around CAD$550.2) Omega Seamaster automatic with date, circa ?56-?57. Caliber 503, 20 jewels, serial #15XXXXXX, case #2849-3. He will replace crystal, clean up the dial a bit, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking the same around CAD$550.What do you guys think? Good/bad value? If
Just won my 3rd vintage watch. Unlike my Swiss made Lloyd re-issue, this watch is made by the original Hamilton, made in Lancaster PA, with an in-house American made movement! It will be a few weeks before it arrives, so it's seller's pics for now. Oh, did I mention, Lloyd's brother's name is "Gary." The Hamilton Gary...
Yesterday, Fed Ex brought a box. This isn't just any box - it's made of some of the most beautiful mahogany I've ever seen, with a perfect glossy finish that brings out every bit of beauty and chatoyance of the wood. If that wasn't enough, inside is a watch winder. It is an Orbita Deluxe Mahogany. Some companies throw around words like deluxe, but when Orbita says it, you can believe it. I would expect a box of this quality wood to sell for the same price if it DIDN'T have a winder inside. WOW, WOW and WOW. My hat is off to Kevin and the woman whose name I feel bad that I can't remember, but was extremely pleasant and helpful. Photos will follow.
Just picked up my 5396g today, it's amazing and I really wasn't going to pick this up for another few years. When I came home tonight to take a couple of low quality photos of my collection I was quite overwhelmed. I think it's safe to say I have all I want and all I need. Time to give up on the chase and I enjoy what I have:
